Leo Strauss y la recuperación de la racionalidad política clásica

Following Leo StrAuSS’ thought, the article explains why recovering classical political rationality constitutes an answer to the crisis of reason which defi- nes contemporary Western context, which has lead to distrust in the ability of human reason to expose, in an objective and normative way, the most important issues of social coexistence. In a context where methodological positivism in social sciences is hegemonic, StrAuSS undertook the task of showing his contemporaries the way in which classical authors have treated the topics of politics, then signaling the return to these classical views and the rigorous study of their works, as a path to allow for the recovery of the value of political rationality, which consists, mainly, in the formulation of the question about the truth and what constitutes good in public affairs.
