Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become a corner stone of our society, culture and identity. Internet has an access to an unlimited amount of the information at the click of the button. It is a double-edged sword. The overwhelming use of internet and social media causes both negative and positive effects on its users. Cyberbullying is one manifestation of such type of negative effects. Cyberbullying is a form of harassment and humiliation through the virtual world (Juvonen & Gross, 2008). The increased use of social media by teenagers and adolescents, has led to cyberbullying becoming a major issue. Rising incidents and tragedies of cyberbullying have alerted researchers, educators, government officials, and the parents to the severe consequences of this new form of bullying. It is an emerging concern that has been associated with the series of negative consequences. Its presence is found in almost every societal aspect. The effects of cyberbullying behaviour have been studied largely in middle and high school students, but less is known about cyberbullying in college students. It has been rampant and uncontrolled among the College students. Its adverse effect has become a crucial concern for all. It is a challenge for teachers and parents to control the cyberbullying. Very little attention has been paid to its academic impact and outcomes. It can have extensive negative impact on the victim and leave them with devasting scars. The victims of cyberbullying experienced anxiety, fear, depression, low academic achievement, school dropouts, low self-esteem resulting in feeling overwhelmed, vulnerable, powerless, revengeful, exposed, humiliated, isolated negative school attitudes and losing interest in schooling and life. This paper examines the effect of cyberbullying behaviour on the academic achievement of the college students

The aim of this research was to define secondary education directors and teachers awareness of preventing "cyber-bullying". The participants are directors and teachers at Near East College in the second half of the 2016-2017 academic year. A qualitative research method was used in this study. An open-ended questionnaire was administered to obtain the participants' views. The data obtained showed that the directors and teachers were aware of "cyber-bullying" and the students faced "cyberbullying" from time to time. It was also found that the development in technology created the necessity of "cyber-bullying" awareness among directors and teachers.
There are various social risks tied to cyberspace. Many of them are social risks because they are cultural risks, like virtual identity construction and interaction in social networks. Toxic evils like cyberbullying and other malicious cybercrimes can give the impression that technological advances are bad and that children and youth would be better off if they did not have access to the Internet, cellular phones, etc. This is not the correct way to tackle the problem of cyberspace risks, which is an issue very insidious and increasing. Indeed, technology can be a very good thing: Internet provides useful information and represent a free window towards the world. Not only it opens up sources of knowledge to people (adolescents in particular) that might otherwise were too difficult to access, but technology also affords around easy means of establishing and maintaining social contacts. For many persons -see the field of assistive technologies -new technologies may offer powerful solutions and contribute in saving costs and creating new professions and services , as well as alternative and effective forms of citizens' participation. The Internet and related technologies have a positive impact on our life: the problem is how some people maliciously use them. Although, investigating and diffusing knowledge about their abuse can mitigate the negative effects. Considering its continuous growing, this report is focused on cyberbullying.

This paper takes the results of a previous study and considers them in the light of societal concerns about cyberbullying. The topic of cyberbullying attracts a great deal of attention in the more popular media, with many of those involved expressing frustration or uncertain of their responsibilities. The previous study found a relatively high level of cyberbullying among university students and this paper raises issues around what might be institutional, professorial and societal responsibilities. It is hoped that the publication of this paper will generate both an awareness of the problem and discussion on what might be the appropriate action by professors, the university and the students.

The relative ease by which the internet can be accessed has given way to a new form of bullying. Coined cyberbullying by Bill Belsey in 1999, victims of online abuse can be attacked via websites, chat rooms, instant messages, online journals, blogs, or cell phone text messages. Since these attacks can occur at all hours of the day to millions of people worldwide in an instant, cyberbullies can easily extend the network of abuse their victims experience in minutes. Cyberbullying has become a major issue in contemporary times because of its adverse effect on mainly adolescent students. This study aims to analyze the effects of cyberbullying on students learning in three Senior High Schools in the Cape Coast Metropolis in Ghana. The study adopts a quantitative approach, using a questionnaire to elicit views from respondents. The sample was chosen using a multi-stage sampling approach that included purposive, simple random, and snowball sampling techniques. Three Senior High Schools (SHS) in Ghana's Central Regions provided a total of 150 responses. The findings revealed, among other things, that cyberbullying has a great effect on the learning of students by either preventing them from attending class, withdrawing from social activities in their schools, and experiencing drops in their results and it also poses psychological problems to most of the students by making them try to commit suicide or take hard drugs. This study will be beneficial as cyberbullying is considered an issue more frequent in high schools than in colleges and universities. The main conclusions are that although cyberbullying existence has been proven, studies of cyberbullying among undergraduate students have not been fully developed. This particular population needs special attention in future research. The results of this study indicate that cyberbullying influences students learning in Senior High School students. Additional Implications of the findings are discussed.

Today’s society is characterised by a high degree of digitisation and the use of electronic devices at an increasingly early age. Data from recent studies and news reports from different parts of the world have focused on the malicious use of these devices by some young people to engage in peer-to-peer bullying, now known as cyberbullying. Given the negative impact of exposure to these situations on the health and well-being of children and young people, we felt it was important to analyse the scientific evidence from a dual perspective. To this end, we carried out a bibliometric study of 131 articles selected from the Scopus database using the PRISMA method to quantify the scientific literature in terms of productivity, collaboration, impact and dissemination. In addition, we carried out a content analysis to explore this polyhedral reality further through three main categories. The results made it possible to identify the places, authors, and journals where useful information can ...
