From individual memory to collective memory in Cosima by Grazia Deledda · The article intends to deal with the latest novel by Grazia Deledda, Cosima, using memory as a reading key. Deledda regresses to the time of her childhood and transforms memories into occasions to investigate and reconstruct the past. The analysis goes from family memories to school memories, to places and society. of Sardinia, providing insight into a world that no longer exists.

La memoria non è riducibile all'oggetto che viene ricordato. È un esercizio riflessivo, che coinvolge anche e soprattutto il soggetto che ricorda. È un esercizio su di sé. Un esercizio di introspezione e azione su noi stessi: altrimenti è inutile, vuoto, privo di senso.

Da un lato consideriamo la vicinanza fisica, il contatto personale, il rapporto diretto, senza mediazioni tecniche, come elementi costitutivi e ineludibili dell’esperienza e addirittura dell’essenza umana. Tuttavia, fin dagli albori dell’umanità e dallo sviluppo delle capacità simboliche, abbiamo continuamente ricercato, inventato e utilizzato modalità di mediazione della realtà per tenerla a distanza, per interagire a distanza con il mondo e con gli altri.

Nella quinta parte del trattato di poetica noto con il nome di Leys d'Amors, Guilhem Molinier, il giurista incaricato di redigere l'opera dal Consistori del Gay Saber, mostra praticamente come chiunque, «cant que sia durs e rudes», possa procedere nella composizione di versi.

In Memoires: for Paul de Man Derrida analyses De Man's interpretation of some pages of Hegel's Encyclopaedia. Hegel distinguishes two forms of memory: on the one hand, recollection (Erinnerung), which presents the past in an intuitive form, and on the other hand, memory (Gedächtnis), which is described as a psychic mechanism. The relationship between these two forms of memory leads one to think that technique is not only something that is outside consciousness, but also something that structures the space of interiority. In particular, in Derrida's texts we can find three arguments that support the paradoxical hypothesis of an interiority of technique: in all three arguments repetition is the essential problem. In order to analyse the relationship between memory and technique it is therefore necessary to understand the meaning that repetition assumes in the psychic life of the subject.
