Jepotá

This work explores the Jepotá, the MbyaGuaraní's myth of animal metamorphosis and its relationship with other myths that refer to the body. Analyzing the mythical texts, not only the author has identified the significant structures that concern the possibility of metamorphosis, but he has also related these significant structures to the symbolic avatars which are connected to the animism. The work has also dealt with the normative quality that myth exerts facing otherness and that which demands being explained by that culture.
