Vertebrados continentales mesozoicos

Abstract

Mesozoic continental vertebrates.- The Neuquén Basin is composed by a thick Mesozoic and Cenozoic sedimentary sequence belonging to marine and continental environments. It is mainly developed on the Neuquén state and it has given, in the last few years, a numerous paleontological record. Many of these findings are of great world significance, and they have produced important improvements in the scientific knowledgement, both by its phylogenetic relationships and by its paleobiogeographic importance. In this paper, we just briefly describe the paleontological record of valid species from the continental Mesozoic vertebrates from the Neuquén province. Key words: Vertebrates, Continental, Mesozoic, Reptilia, Mammals, Neuquén
