Un tresor mallorquí d'epoca almohade a Atenes

The situation of thetes in Athens before Solon was very precarious. They were at the margins of the community and prone to fall into slavery immediately, without trial like in Homer. They were assimilated by the sources with the hektemoroi. This does not mean that all the thetes in Attica were hektemoroi but that all the hektemoroi were thetes (without property) at that time. Hektemoroi were probably a type of sharecropping peasants without resources and who were not landowners, and so were forced to work the land of the rich or communal lands under a particular regime. Besides hektemoroi /thetes there was a class of landowning peasants whose lands and persons were threatened due to debts that they incurred, becoming atimoi. Without stasis and changes in the beginning of 6th century B.C., the thetes /hektemoroi and indebted peasants of Athens could have become crystallised into a dependent class, between freedom and slavery (Pollux, 3.83).

RESUMEN: La revisión de los materiales arqueológicos hallados en las campañas de excavación de la década de 1960, realizadas en el malogrado poblado prehistórico de Son Oms (Palma, Mallorca), ha permitido documentar por primera vez una ocupación del lugar en tiempos de la Antigüedad Tardía. A partir de los materiales cerámicos estudiados, parece ser que dicha ocupación quedaría centrada entre los siglos V a VII dC. ABSTRACT: The occupation of the ill-fated prehistoric settlement of Son Oms (Palma, Mallorca) in late antiquity has been documented for the first time based on a review of archaeological material found during a series of excavations carried out in the 1960s. From the ceramic materials studied, it appears that this occupation occurred between the 5th and 7th centuries AD.

Acrópilis de Atenas, 2023

La Acrópolis de Atenas está localizada al suroeste de la región Ática, rodeada de cerros de menor altura. La colina rocosa donde se asienta la Acrópolis es una de las elevaciones más prominentes de la ciudad, con laderas muy empinadas, excepto en el lado oeste, que tiene una pendiente accesible. El área construida de la Acrópolis sobre la terraza superior ocupa 300 metros de largo por 150 de ancho, a 91 metros sobre el nivel de la urbanización. La Acrópolis de Atenas es la máxima expresión del concepto de Atenea. Los edificios construidos durante la época de Pericles materializan de manera arquitectónica y convincente la esencia misma de la antigua Grecia, cuando la grandeza de la Grecia clásica se hacía tangible.

The first instance is presented of a Balearic spotted Flycatcher ringed on Antikythera island (Ionian Islands, greece) and recovered in its breeding area in Menorca (Balearic Islands). The results may indicate a different spring migration strategy of this subspecies to the nominate striata.
