One of the forms of financing is also agricultural loan, but, how is the demand of farmers for these loans and what size of farms request more loans are questions which we will explain in this paper realized by interviews of 250 farmers in five regions of Kosovo (Pristina, Gjilani, Mitrovica, Peja and Prizren) during period of March -September 2013. Data will be processed in SPSS 16.0 program through the production function Cobb -Douglas, regression method -Ordinary Least Square.

This paper aims to provide the overall state of rural fi nance in the Kosovo region, its status, the impact of credit lending, the role of banking institutions and governance in rural fi nance expenditures, and the improvement, barriers, and challenges throughout the years. The objective measure of access to rural fi nance is variable which help as to measure credit lending and the portfolio level of agriculture credit to fi nd managing in fi nancial institution performance. Therefore, the results show that the banks give more access than micro fi nance institutions at summation of large loans for agriculture, but at other side banks give less compared to micro fi nancial institutions at summation of small loans for agriculture.
This study investigates a current situation of agricultural credits in Kosovo from which we may conclude how much these credits have impacted the development of small farms in Kosovo since this category of farms comprise a large percentage in the overall structure of farms. The number of small farms is being decreased recently which creates obstacles in the agriculture in Kosovo to become competitive in market. The study was done through the research of 140 small agricultural farms in four regions (35 farms in each region): Pristina, Gjilani, Gjakova and Prizreni. Data from research were processed in computer using Statistical Program for Social Sciences (SPSS) software and the results were calculated using statistical methods such as Chi-Square Test, P-value and Likelihood Ratio. As a conclusion of this research we found how much do agricultural credits help farmers in developing their small farms based on the current conditions of agricultural credits that financial institutions in Kosovo offer.

Public expenditure on agriculture in Kosovo has been growing massively over the last five years, however, additional resources need to be directed to the sector in order to accelerate the attainment of agriculturei?½s potential positive impacts on Kosovoi?½s economic and social development, improve Kosovoi?½s agricultural competitiveness in the region and meet EU requirements. Agriculture has a share of less than 4 % of total state budget allocations. Yet this is too low a share for a sector that accounts for about 12 % of GDP, provides between 25 - 35 % of employment (mostly in the informal sector), and accounts for 12 % of total exports. Hence an increase in budget allocations should support the consolidation, sustainability and growth of Kosovoi?½s agro-processing industry, will provide for increased employment, and ensure a secure future for Kosovoi?½s people and society. This paper presents an analysis of the public finance practice and issues in agriculture in the context of t...

The purpose of this research is to identify the variables that might influence the demand for low-interest business and investment loans given to Türkiye livestock and agricultural industries. A face-to-face survey of 384 producers who go on with their production operations in ten distinct Erzurum districts provided the data utilized in the study. Binary logistic regression analysis was used to identify the factors influencing credit use. The data shows that producers in the age groups of 20-30 are less likely to utilize credit than those in the 31-45 and 46-60 age groups. Credit use is higher among individuals involved in mixed production activities than in crop production only. Individuals who report being in excellent health have a higher likelihood of using credit than those who report being in bad health. Having a house of one's own increases the likelihood of using credit. Those whose production activity location is close to the district center are more likely to use credit. It has been shown that people are more likely to utilize if they say the guarantees that loan providers want are inexpensive, if they say they will carry on with their production, and if they say they are happy with the amount of expertise needed for production.

In recent years, the banking sector has increasingly turned to the agricultural sector. There is a noticeable increase in the total claims of the banking sector from registered farms in the period 2012-2020, while the part of the domestic product generated by the agricultural sector also recorded growth, but not in the same percentage as bank loans to agriculture. The aim of this paper is to examine the interdependence of the increase in total claims of banks on registered agricultural producers with the increase in the domestic product generated by the agricultural sector. The method of statistical correlation was used in this paper. The impact and changes of investment loans in agriculture, loans for working capital, but also the change in bank claims from agricultural producers based on interest and fees have been analyzed. The conclusion is that there is a connection between loans and the domestic product of the agricultural sector, but that there are other factors that have an ...

Agriculture is characterized by a number of specificities (seasonal and organic character, high risks of the production cycle, slow turnover of capital, inability to specialize production and low capacity utilization), due to which it is more demanding in terms of financing than other economic activities.Considering that the agraculture is one of the most important branches of the economy, which even in such difficult conditions and circumstances still yields profits, the subject of this work is to discuss the conditions of financing both by the state and by commercial banks, without which it is almost impossible to imagine the process of agricultural production. The aim of the paper is to point out the importance of stable and continuous financing of agriculture. Unfortunately, interest rate subsidy programs do not include consultations with the financial sector when programs are designed, and as a result, the way in which the programs are built does not motivate banks to increase lending to the agriculture sector. Farms need constant financial support because of the need to invest in production all at once and at a large scale, in accordance with the nature of production, the long retention period of the assets involved, ie the low turnover of the invested funds, and the low profit that the primary agricultural production generates makes it impossible to create own accumulation, or own sources of financing.

The development of agricultural sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is still determined by the processes of transition of the economic system and overcoming the consequences of the last war. Therefore, it inevitably requires modernization which again requires investments. Provided financial sources are the main preconditions for investing, so the researching sources and terms of financing investments in agricultural sector in BiH are the actual subject of research. The goal of the research presented in this paper is to determine sources of financing agricultural business at the level of family farms, dominating in the agriculture of BiH, the structure of their investment, lending conditions and other sources of financing and farmers' satisfaction with those conditions. Besides the review of literature, the research has been conducted by interviewing a random sample of hundred family farms from the five different regions in BiH, in spring of 2016. The results indicate that self-financing is still a dominant source of financing agricultural businesses, which reduces and slows down level of investment. The next source by relevance is lending (the farmers are not very satisfied with the lending terms and conditions), and followed by subsidies.
