National character education aims to form a strong, competitive, moral, tolerant nation, mutual cooperation, patriotic spirit, dynamic development, knowledge and technology oriented all of which are inspired by faith and piety to the Almighty God as in aspiring to the Pancasila philosophy. Indonesia is currently faced with the problem of weakening character. Formation of character in the nation's next generation has been pursued with various forms and efforts, but until now it has not been implemented optimally. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the strengthening of character education programs in the millennial era through the learning process of PAI (Islamic Religious Education) and Civics Education (Civics Education). This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. This research was conducted at the Islamic Middle School Khadijah Bagek Nyake East Lombok. Data collection uses observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses three activities, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Alquran merupakan kitab suci umat Islam yang berlaku sepanjang zaman dan telah teruji kebenarannya. Diturunkan oleh Zat Yang Mulia kepada Rasul-Nya yang mulia pula. Tidak ada yang bisa menggantikan kedudukannya dari diutusnya Nabi Muhammad Saw. ke dunia hingga akhir zaman. Hal-hal yang terjadi di masa sekarang dan yang terjadi di masa akan datang bahkan yang terjadi sebelum diturunkannya Alquran sudah tertulis di dalam Alquran. Sehingga boleh dikatakan bahwa Alquran ialah kitab yang berisi sejarah. Tidak hanya itu, di dalam Alquran juga berisi tentang keimanan, syariat, maupun akhlak. Tidak ada bagian dari kehidupan ini yang terlepas dari Alquran. Jika kita berpegang teguh kepada Alquran, maka selamatlah kita dalam mengarungi kehidupan, baik di dunia maupun di akhirat. Begitu juga dalam kehidupan generasi milenial yang penuh dengan kecanggihan teknologi sekarang ini, jika generasi mudanya sangat jauh dengan Alquran maka dapat dipastikan bahwa teknologi yang mereka banggakan dapat menjadi penghancur masa depan mereka.

Era millinial muncul sebagai respon terhadap era modern yang lebih mengutamakan akal, empirik, dan hal-hal yang bersifat materialistik, sekularistik, hedonistik, fragmatik, dan transaksional. Yaitu pandangan yang memisahkan urusan dunia dengan urusan akhirat. Kehidupan yang demikian didasarkan pada assumsi, bahwa dengan akal, panca indera, dan materi yang didukung oleh ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi canggih semua masalah dapat dipecahkan. Ingin bepergian jauh tinggal pesan tiket pesawat; ingin tidur nyenyak dan makan nikmat tinggal pergi ke hotel dan restoran, ingin senang-senang, tinggal pergi ke tempat hiburan; ingin sehat tinggal panggil dokter, dan ingin pandai tinggal panggil guru atau nara sumber; ingin memperoleh informasi tingggal lihat Google. Sayangnya era millineal juga dibarengi dengan degradasi moral. Faktanya, dapat kita lihat dari masa ke masa generasi milenial justru semakin memprihatinkan, virus pemikiran dan budaya Barat, suskes mengantarkannya ke gerbang kehancuran. Aktivitas pacaran, gaul bebas, free sex, aborsi, narkoba, buyling, kejahatan fisik, dan LGBT, turut mewarnai kehidupan generasi millenial. Hal ini membawa pada keterpurukan krisis moral dan lemahnya iman. Lembaga pendidikan Islam, pesantren, sebagai salah satu sistem pendidikan nasional berkontribusi dalam penguatan moral sebagai jawaban dari degradasi moral yang terjadi era millineal. Penguatan moral yang diberikan adalah penguatan nilai moral ketuhanan, moral social dan moral individu yang dibiasakan kepada peserta didik dengan pola pembiasaan, uswah dan proses pengawasan 24 jam.

Today we have entered the millennial era, which is happening so fast. Digital technology accompanies all human activities, in the current millennial, people are more preoccupied with technology such as using social media. Islamic leadership that adheres to Islamic principles will certainly make Islamic education able to overcome challenges and changes that occur so quickly. The type of research used was library research. The results of the study in the form of Islamic education leadership concept mean that not only includes influencing and facilitating what have been done but, including the ability used to ensure readiness to face challenges. The process must always be within Islamic values, namely the values that bring up to shari'ah norms that was compatible with Islamic education. The problems of Islamic education leadership in millennial era was humans in the millennial era more concerned with the reason, leaving the spiritual, and decreasing millenial generation character. The solutions of Islamic education leadership problems in millenial era are the leaders have to have a character-based paradigm, able to develop Islamic education that responds to the development and demands of the times.

This study analyzes the role of Ulumul Quran in millennial era education, which is marked by technological developments and changes in the learning characteristics of the younger generation. Ulumul Quran, which studies aspects of the Qur'an, has great potential in shaping the religious character and understanding of the millennial generation. The challenges of the digital age demand adaptive and innovative teaching methods. Through a literature method, this research explores the integration of technology in Ulumul Quran learning, interactive teaching methods, and relevant curriculum development. Case studies show that digital applications and online platforms increase student interest and understanding, while contextual and interactive teaching proves effective. In conclusion, the Ulumul Quran is important in millennial education with an approach adapted to the technology and characteristics of the current generation, and recommendations are given to optimize this integration in curriculum and education policy.

This study uses a library research approach, while this research is a type of qualitative research. The fundamental question related to Islamic education and social change is about how Islamic education can simultaneously function as an agent of change and the dynamics of social change. It is a common understanding that Islam is a religion of love and peace, so it is only natural that Islam, a religion of mercy for all things, is also very concerned about the happiness and well-being of its people. Based on this statement, Islamic education is one of the best alternatives to build humanity, the findings of this study show that Islam builds society through education.
