We have prepared a project named as ‘Arduino based security system using PIR sensor’. In this project, we use Arduino (Microcontroller) because; it is open source for hardware use. Arduino boards are able to read inputs - light on a sensor, a finger on a button, or a Twitter message - and turn it into an output - activating a motor, turning on an LED, publishing something online. Basically, we are going to make a system which use sensors like PIR sensor, MQ9 sensor, IR flame sensor. Process of system, first of all system will using MQ9 sensor to detect the leakage of LPG, CO, CH4 & it will forward the flow to PIR sensor so it, will detects the range of flame/fire coverage area. After this it will send message to the user that the fire is in low/high level. This system has proper coordination with their allocated sensors.
To summarize, there are basic functions / techniques that have been implemented to ensure that the prototype is used to achieve its primary objectives of reducing the rates of false alarms and their sub-targets being shipped and making fire detection devices "smart". They are as follows: 1. Use of smoke, temperature and light intensity as fire detection parameters. 2. Use GSM instead of Wi-Fi to send text notifications.
Smart Home" is the term normally used to express a dwelling that has appliances, illumination, heating, computers, air conditioning, TVs, entertainment audio, video and camera systems, security systems that are capable of connecting with one another and can be measured remotely by a time schedule, from any apartment in the household, as well as distantly from any locality in the world by phone or internet. This project is aimed to Design a Gas, smoke, fire and motion detector with SMS alarm for house, office, and shop security utilizing uninvolved derived pyroelectric (PIR) movement locator either the owner is at home or not. The importance of this project is to give an alert when there is leakage of Gas, detection of smoke, fire and motion (intrusion) via SMS. It helps to enhance safety. At the end of this project, th e result “fire detected, smoke detected, gas leakage detected, and motion detected was achieved”. Smart homes will one day be the manner in which all homes are lived in. This anyway will require some investment. Like the presentation of power in the turn o f the century, the shrewd domestic undertaking needs time to develop before it winds up standard. There are, in any case, numerous advantages to owning a smart home becauseof the security and accommodation it can give.
Fire outbreak is a major concern at homes, offices, industries etc. It is dangerous and requires high security and control to avoid destruction of lives and property. One of the preventive measures to avoid the danger is to install an automatic fire alarm detector at vulnerable locations, hence the Arduino based fire alarm detection and control system was proposed. It is capable of automatically detecting heat in a given environment, sound an alarm, switch off mains of the building and also spray water to reduce the intensity of fire. The system uses a DHT 11 sensor, a buzzer, 5v DC (Direct Current) motor, a GSM (Global System for Mobile) Module sim800l to send SMS (Short Message Service) and a LCD screen 16X2 and Atmeg328p Microcontroller. At the end, the objectives of this project were achieved and the system worked effectively.
The proposed Fire alarm system is a real-time monitoring system that detects the presence of smoke in the air due to fire and captures images via a camera installed inside a room when a fire occurs. The embedded systems used to develop this fire alarm system are Raspberry Pi and Arduino Uno. The key feature of the system is the ability to remotely send an alert when a fire is detected. When the presence of smoke is detected, the system will display an image of the room state in a web page. The system will need the user confirmation to report the event to the Firefighter using Short Message Service (SMS). The advantage of using this system is it will reduce the possibility of false alert reported to the Firefighter. The camera will only capture an image, so this system will consume a little storage and power.
The design has been developed since the social and economic cost of natural disasters which has increased in recent years due to population growth, change in land use patterns, migration and unplanned urbanization, environmental degradation and global climate change. Catastrophic disasters include fires, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tropical cyclones, floods, and droughts. Fire considered being natural or man-made, thus the management shall provide safety of the building occupant. The design consists of five major circuits to compensate the system operation. It includes Detection and Initiating Devices (DEADS), Notification Devices (NODES), Central Station Monitor (CSM), Annunciation Devices (ANODES) and the Suppression Circuitry. The DEADS is composed of a smoke detector and smoke ionization sensors which transmit initiated signal to CSM. The NODES are active devices like smoke alarms, and speakers attached to every room designed to give alarms to the room occupants. The Central Station Monitor designed with Arduino Uno as the Microcontroller served as the brain of the system interfaced with PHP & MySQL. The ANODES works once fire cannot be suppressed by the system itself, thereby when the fire department and other incident team needs to be contacted. The suppressor composed of robotic-arm connected to the water supply, fire hydrants, and sprinkler heads.

Abstract: In this paper basically a low cost fire detection and control system based on smoke and heat detection is proposed. It is comprised of a combination of electrical/electronic devices/equipments working together to detect the presence of fire and alert people through audio or visual medium after detection. These alarms may be activated from smoke detectors or heat detectors which, when detects fire. Then, it automatically operates a relay which can be used to send Short Message Service (SMS) to the registered mobile numbers and switch on a water sprayer or a Solenoid Pump to spray water or fire ceasing foam.

Fire and Smoke detection system has been proven for applications such as industrial, houses, colleges, schools, & offices, etc. To prevent losses caused by the fire we develop the fire and smoke detection system. In this method, we use the image processing system and Raspberry pi to detect the fire. After detecting fire, it will on the emergency mode, and the system will send an e-mail or message to the user. The raspberry pi controls the process camera input and detects fire by using the image processing method. It will report immediately to the person (Owner and Fire Department). These systems send information in a real-time method.

This system is designed to detect intruders, gas leakages as well as to serve as a surveillance system. This work focuses on the development of a reliable access control and fire prevention system synergized with surveillance system. In developing the system, Passive Infrared (PIR) sensors, gas sensor, buzzer, Global System Mobile (GSM) module, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and RGB Light Emitting Diode (LED) were connected to an Arduino Mega microcontroller. Fingerprint module and keypad were connected to Arduino Nano for access control. For the surveillance system, a 3D camera was connected to the PC to view the screen of the LCD and surroundings of a building with the aid of a Yaw am, Many Cam, Mirror OP and Google Remote Desktop (RDP). In addition, the system also contains Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) which turns ON in the dark and OFF when there is light. The performance evaluation of the system was carried out through the rate of access allowed correctly and access denied incorrectly, accuracy as well as the precision. The result showed 71.8% efficiency for positive access allowed rate and 28.2% false access denied rate. The practical application of this system is that it can be adopted at home and industrial environment as an efficient means of controlling intruders, fireoutbreak as well as serving as a surveillance system.

The present paper is aimed at "fire detection" with image processing for detecting the fire and use PIR sensor to detect the temperature to be sure it. So taking these previously mentioned viewpoints into thought, we here have built up a Home based Fire observing and Warning System utilizing Arduino Uno R3, which is temperate and reasonable by all. The framework here recognizes fire amid the presence of smoke or fire at a specific level and furthermore towards cautioning the property proprietor effectively and rapidly finished the Internet utilizing Wi-Fi Module. AtMega microcontroller of Arduino controls every one of these exercises. This framework would help every one of the clients at any level of salary to have one at their home and it likewise spares from the colossal misfortunes and harm, which may occur because of fire.
