Nuove iscrizioNi di cassiNo Nelle pagine che seguono metterò insieme alcune iscrizioni di casinum che non sono state finora pubblicate (tranne la n. 2). si trovano per lo più nell'abbazia di Montecassino, il cui Lapidario è una miniera inesauribile per gli studi epigrafici antichi e anche medievali. 1

Three new inscriptions from the Rhaetic region, found at Cles and Sanzeno in the Non Valley (Trento) are presented in the paper. The small bronze bar from “Campi Neri” (Cles), the small bronze horse with rider, the small bone bar from the same place and a second small bronze bar from Sanzeno show, with their dedication inscriptions in Rhaetic language, new matter for graphematic, phonological, morphological, syntactical and lexical investigations on this relic language. The recent attempt to the reconstruction of a new common linguistic phase, including Rhaetic, Etruscan and “Tyrsenic” from Lemnos, allows to proceed - together with the combinatory - also with the comparative method to reconstruct small - but nevertheless more and more consistent - pieces of the grammatical outline of the Rhaetic language. The repertoire of personal names expressed in the texts, containing also names that are Celtic in their origin, such as Esumne, reveals moreover traces of ethnic mobility in this area during the second Iron Age.

Some unpublished pre-roman inscriptions from Milano. The Authors present seven unpublished pre-roman inscription on ceramic from the excavations carried out in Moneta and Gorani streets by Anna Ceresa of the Archaeological Superintendency of Lombardy. They are all written with the so called Lugano alphabet, mostly of the latest period (4rd/3rd-1st century BC) and they all relate to personal names, often in shortened version. Among them two inscriptions (se and pu) from Moneta street can be dated to LT B period, most probably to the earliest phase (second half of the 4th century BC); other two from the same site (tuit and arki) can be assigned to the end of the 4th and the beginning of the 3rd century BC. The most interesting inscription is kituaretos, from Gorani street, whose date is not sure, missing the entire vase and being found in a reshuffled level; the name could be the union of kintu (“the first”) and ateratos, already known on a vase from Solduno, formed by ate- (intensive form) and -rato-.

Although little investigated, the Roman colony of Scolacium, between the modern municipalities of Borgia, Squillace, and Stalettì, remains rich in archaeological evidence in need of further study, especially for the Late Antique period. In this sense, epigraphic data, though meager, prove highly significant for a better understanding of the area. This contribution aims to point out some aspects of one of the few known inscriptions, based on the recent survey campaign promoted by the Pontifical Institute of Christian Archaeology in agreement with the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Catanzaro- Squillace and the Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio for the provinces of Catanzaro and Crotone.

nell'ambito di un riesame delle fonti documentarie utili alla ricostruzione della storia del territorio di Noto, ha redatto un catalogo delle epigrafi rinvenute in questo vasto comprensorio della Sicilia sud-orientale 1 .

L’articolo contribuisce ad arricchire lo studio sul patrimonio epigrafico del comune di Ponte (BN) con cinque nuove acquisizioni di tituli sepulcrales. Inoltre tali iscrizioni forniscono dati significativi per una miglior comprensione delle dinamiche di popolamento dell’area fra la prima e la seconda età imperiale.
