Global warming is a serious issue affecting our planet. In this paper, I explore its causes, effects, and potential solutions. I begin with an introduction to global warming, explaining what it is and why it matters. Then, I delve into its causes, including human activities and natural factors. Next, I examine the wide-ranging effects and impacts of global warming, from rising temperatures to extreme weather events. Focusing on Bangladesh, I analyze the specific impacts this country faces due to global warming, such as sea level rise and agricultural challenges. I also discuss strategies for countering global warming, including renewable energy adoption and international cooperation. In conclusion, I emphasize the urgency of addressing global warming to safeguard our planet and future generations. By understanding its causes and effects, and implementing effective solutions, we can mitigate its harmful impacts and build a more sustainable world.
Global warming is a buzzword in this current age. It is nothing but a modern threat for our existence. It is a phenomenon that is occurring since thousands of years. Third world countries like Bangladesh is one of the worst sufferers of this global warming. In this paper it will be discussed various impacts of global warming, some reasons for which the global warming is taking place, some steps that are already taken to resolve the issue and finally some recommendations to minimize the impact of global warming.
Global warming turns out to be the biggest challenge to the mankind in the near future. It is not a problem to write only theories and do research on; it is a problem which humankind must face unless proactive measures are taken immediately. Global warming causes the climate to change including the rise of sea-level. Recently, the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), in its Fifth Assessment Report, has suggested a 1.5 mm sea-level rise per year for

Many researchers, engineers and environmentalists are expressing deep concerns about changes in the overall climate of the planet. Fossil fuels are being continuously used to produce electricity. The burning of these fuels produces gases like carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxides which lead to global warming. Deforestation is also leading to warmer temperatures. The hazard of global warming is continuously causing major damage to the Earth's environment. Most people are still unaware of global warming and do not consider it to be a big problem in years to come. What most people do not understand is that global warming is currently happening, and we are already experiencing some of its withering effects. It is and will severely affect ecosystems and disturb ecological balance. Because of the treacherous effects of global warming, some solutions must be devised. The paper introduces global warming, elaborates its causes and hazards and presents some solutions to solve this hot issue. Above all, alternative energy sources (solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, bio mass) need to be seriously pursued. Finding and using renewable sources of energy is one of the methods to combat the ever increasing global warming effectively.

Studies suggest that rise in the global temperature since 1880 (estimated 0.8 to 1.0oC) is real and considerably alarming. Although natural causes have been responsible for repeated global temperature changes in the geological past, the present rise is commonly attributed to the concentration of anthropogenic greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide (CO2), in the atmosphere. CO2, which takes hundreds of years to be removed from the atmosphere, has increased significantly over the past century. Increasing consumption of fossil fuels in energy production, industry, transport, agriculture and other human activity has been causing the emission of greenhouse gases in the Earth’s system. More than 2°C increase in temperature by the end of this century would be severe if not catastrophic. Global warming would result in melting of glaciers and polar icecaps, water depletion, insecurity of food, sea-level rise and threat to coastal regions, coral reefs extinction, migration of species and nat...
For some decades now, global warming has been with us. As the name connotes, it is a universal issue which has vivid, tremendous and pronounced effects in every part of the globe. Its impacts and effects depend on the geographical location of the region on the surface of the earth. In this short essay, the author examines and reviews the issues of global warming and its implications so far in some climatic regions of the world. Of the two principal causes of this problem or menace, natural and artificial, the latter has contributed immensely to the problem and the situation gets worse as the days go by. Some of the major issues and implications have been highlighted and remedies have also been suggested for a way forward to minimize, or if possible, cease the unfriendly impacts.
Global warming is defined as a rise in Earth's average temperature. As the Earth gets warmer, disasters such as droughts, hurricanes, and floods are becoming increasingly common. Most scientists, engineers, and activists express deep concern about changes in the planet's overall climate. The average air temperature above the surface of the Earth has risen by just below 1 degree Celsius, or 1.3 degrees Fahrenheit, over the past 100 years. Deforestation exacerbates the severity of global warming. The ocean, which holds about 50 times more carbon than the atmosphere, is an enormous carbon sink. However, the seas are no longer able to store carbon as effectively as they have in the past. Burning fossil fuels such as natural gas, oil, coal, and gasoline increases atmospheric carbon dioxide levels, and carbon dioxide is a major contributor to the greenhouse effect and global warming. Climate change will increase the number of people who suffer from heatwaves, floods, hurricanes, and droughts, leading to higher rates of death, illness, and injury. The threat of global warming continues to cause severe damage to the Earth's environment. Many people still do not fully understand the implications of global warming or consider it a significant problem for the future. However, global warming is already happening, and some of its devastating consequences are already being felt. It significantly impacts biodiversity and disrupts ecological balance. Due to the dangerous effects of global warming, many strategies need to be established. The report discusses global warming, outlines its causes and risks, and proposes solutions to this urgent issue. Above all, it is crucial to seriously consider alternative energy sources (biomass, wind, hydro, geothermal, and solar). One of the key strategies to counter the ever-increasing global warming is the identification and use of renewable energy sources.

Global Warming is now becoming a challenge for survival of species on Earth and draws attention of many modern societies, power and energy engineers, academicians, researchers and stakeholders to go for deeper study. Almost all countries are required to act fast and attend to major problems of depletion of fossil fuel resources, poor energy efficiency and environmental pollution and its dire consequences on priority. This book is written to create awareness of the energy engineers, academicians, researchers, industry personnel and society as a whole, and to emphasize current status of global warming and its impact on climate changes. We all know that humanity is at risk due to Greenhouse gases which are the main source of Global Warming . Our beautiful planet is being destroyed, due to excessive exploitation of Earth’s resources from its reservoirs and other serious man-made problems. The main objective of this book is to produce a good documentation from the point of view of knowledge seekers or public readers at large, and also those who are eager to know more about Global Warming and its impact on the Climate Changes, besides those who have raisen their voice for its remedial measures. Present state of environmental damage and continuous occurrence of natural disasters have made the environmentalist and scientists inevitable for their extensive study, and to carry out detailed analysis of the following threats faced by civilization across the entire globe due to global warming: i). Is Global Warming caused by human activity? ii). What are Greenhouse Gases? iii). Fast shrinkage of polar ice may leave us with no ice by summer 2040. iv). Fast rise of the Sea Level. v). Danger for species like polar bear, etc. vi). Ice sheets, where they meet at the Atlantic sea. This area may be affected by cold waves, heavy snow falls and intense storms. vii). Permafrost may create further warming which cannot be reversed. The Global Warming is increasing Earth's average surface temperature, due to the effect of Greenhouse gases such as: Carbon dioxide through emissions produced from burning of fossil fuels or from deforestation, which traps heat that would otherwise escape the Earth. This is a type of Greenhouse effect . The most significant Greenhouse gas is actually Water Vapor , not something produced directly by humankind in significant amounts. However, even slight increase in atmospheric levels of Carbon dioxide (CO2) can cause a substantial increase in Earth’s atmospheric temperature. The ultimate effects, which we are likely to be faced as 21 st century.
