We calculate the contribution from the convection current to the recently measured transverse form factor of the /sup 12/C 2/sup +/ level at 4.44 MeV. The convection current dominates for small momentum transfer and is determined by the B (E2). In this region, theory agrees with experiment. At intermediate momentum transfer, agreement with experiment is only possible assuming a coherent sum of the convection current and magnetization density contributions.
