Construction industry pays attention to modular construction recently which based on factory production not on labor intensive site production. Since modular construction has high time shortening effect and easiness of demolition and recycling, it has been applied to the temporary residential building. Domestic modular construction market are not activated yet, however, due to the high initial cost to realize modular construction. This study proposes demandsensitized movable modular building in order to reduce the financial burden. The study compares between RC method building and Modular building which moves building when the demand falls off from Life-Cycle Cost's viewpoint. As a result of the economical evaluation, RC method achieved profits faster than Modular model, but Modular model's gross earnings during the life-cycle are much bigger than RC method. In other words, the result means that the marketsensitized movement of the modular building would be an economic choice in Life-Cycle Costing aspect.

Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) promote long-life housing to reduce social costs generated by poorly considered rebuilding and extend the lifespan of housing. Long-life housing has advantages of durability, floor plan variability, efficient maintenance and ease of remodeling because it is a beam-column structure building. However, long-life housing requires somewhat higher initial construction cost than wall type apartments. It makes increase of long-life housing more difficult. In this study, we compare between wall-type apartment and beamcolumn structure apartment from Life-Cycle Cost's viewpoint. As a result of the study, long-life housing incurs 18% higher initial cost than wall type apartment, but is 7% more economical than wall type apartment in terms of Life Cycle Cost. Therefore, it is shown that long-life housing could be a beneficial alternative to traditional wall type apartments.

This paper suggests a new method for calculating the transaction price index, which applies cluster analysis to ameliorate interregional heterogeneity and instability caused by missing data of transaction prices. In order to address the issue concerning missing values, absent data were estimated by using either the linear regression model, which utilized clustering information, or the linear interpolation model, depending on the continuity patterns of missing values. And in order to address the issue of interregional heterogeneity, the clustering analysis-applied apartment transaction price index for administrative district Gu was drawn from information on transaction prices of administrative district Dong. As a result of analyzing data of apartment transaction prices in Seoul from July 2011 to June 2016, it was found that the clustering analysis-based apartment transaction price index is more suitable than the existing index in terms of data applicability and the alleviation of regional inconsistencies.

Construction safety training has mostly relied on one-way transference of instructors' knowledge to trainees through traditional media such as textbooks and lecture slides. However, safety knowledge could be more effectively acquired in experiential situations. The authors proposed a serious game to provide a comprehensive safety training environment. Trainees who assume the roles of safety inspectors in the game explore a virtual construction site to identify potential hazards and learn from the contents of feedback created by the game as a result of trainees' input. The paper reports details of the game design and development process. The test results indicated that trainees were motivated to refresh their safety knowledge, increased their learning interests, and enjoyed the learning process. In addition, trainees showed positive attitudes towards using the game scoring as a way of evaluating their safety knowledge. The test results encouraged the continuous development of the game.

Code refactoring focuses on enhancing the maintainability of software to extend its lifetime. However as software applications were varied and the range of its usage becomes broaden, there are some efforts to improve software qualities like performance or reliability as well as maintainability using code refactoring techniques. Recently, as low-energy software has become one of critical issues in mobile environment, developing energy efficient software through code refactoring becomes an important one. Therefore this paper has its goal to investigate whether the existing refactoring techniques can support energy efficient software generation or not. That is to say, the existing code refactoring techniques can cause the minus of energy efficiency because they did not considered the energy consumption in their refactoring process. This paper experiments and analyzes to check whether the M. Fowler's code refactoring techniques can support the energy efficient software generation or not. Our research result can give to software developer some informations about energy-efficient refactoring techniques, and can support the development of software that has high maintainability and good energy efficiency.

In this study, the finite element analysis was carried out to investigate dynamic characteristics of the AGF(Active Gurney Flap) which is under development for reducing vibration and noise of the helicopter rotor system. The Gurney flap is a kind of small flat plate, mounted normal to the lower surface of the airfoil near to the trailing edge. An electric motor, L-shaped linkages and flap parts were integrated into a rotor bade, and 3~5/rev control was given to the AGF to reduce the vibration in the fixed frame. Thus, an explicit time integration method was adopted to investigate the dynamic response of the AGF with considering both centrifugal force due to the rotor rotation and active control input, and it can be seen that the vertical displacement of the AGF was satisfied to meet the design requirement.

As worldwide efforts to reduce global warming gases, the construction Industry is endeavoring to diminish carbon dioxides emissions. Especially, by introducing the LCA methodology to the industry, A variety of related studies to measure the emission of carbon dioxides have been conducted. However, when the conventional LCA methodology is applied to the construction projects, some limitations have been reported. To overcome the restrictions derived from the industry characteristics, this research suggested the Activity-based LCA model by applying the Activitybased Costing (ABC), which breaks down the whole life cycles into more detailed stages. By implementing the newly developed model, forecasting accuracy of CO2 emission was elevated, and the critical control points on carbon dioxides were established. Through the case study of aluminium curtain-wall system, this research verified the usefulness of the Activity-based LCA.

Today, photovoltaic power generation mostly uses Si crystalline solar cell modules. The most vulnerable part of the Si solar cell module is that the power generation decreases due to the temperature rise. But, it is widely used because of low installation cost. In the solar market, where Si crystalline solar cell modules are widely used. The CPV (Concentrated Photovoltaic) module appeared in the solar market. The CPV module reduces the manufacturing cost of the solar cell by using non-Si in the solar cell. Also, there is an advantage that a rise in temperature does not cause a drop in power generation. But this requires high technology to install and has a disadvantage that the initial installation cost is expensive compared to normal Si solar cell module. So that we built a testbed to see these characteristics. The testbed was used to measure the amount of power generation in a long-term outdoor environment and compared with the general Si solar cell module.
