Abstract
This research reports and evaluates the machinability of super austenitic stainless steel, AL-6XN alloy by understanding the plastic deformation during the machining process using designated experiments and finite element modelling. The findings recorded confirm responsible machinability factors such as high plastic strain, work-hardening tendency, surface residual stress and tool wear
