This study aims to describe the role of Aisyiyah in improving the status of women in Indonesia from 1917-1945. This study uses a library research method using a philosophical approach and a historical approach. The results of this study indicate that Aisyiyah is a Muhammadiyah women's organization which was founded on 27 Rajab 1335 H, coinciding with 19 May 1917 M. The embryo of the establishment of Aisyiyah has been started since the Sapa Tresna association was held in 1914, namely an association of educated girls around the village of Kauman. . Nyai Dahlan's attention to Islamic education is very large. Islam as a religion of rah}mat for all of nature, without knowing the sex and gender. However, the role and rights of women is often times overlooked in public relations. Islamic community organizations as well as institutions have not provided a significant change in gender issues. Thus, this article will try to reconstruct the gender issues on women and the Islamic community organizations, especially related to the role and rights of women in the organization.

Tebing tnggi okura village is one of the tourist village area of pekanbaru city that has a vision to realize the improvement of local community welfare, according to prority the role of local communities, especially the role of women. The role of women is important in a tourism activity because the role of women in tourism can reduce inequal gender inequality, therefore this research (1) to find out how the rule of women in tourism activities in tebing tinggi okura tourist village (2) to find out what are the constraints of women in playing a role in tourism activities in tebing tinggi okura tourist village. Women's leadership is still a controversial issue in religious' perspective, even though most women have received equal education and employment to men. The controversy emerges from different opinions about the interpretation of An-Nisa verse 34. This study discusses how women who are active in religious organizations define women's leadership based on the verse. There are two organizations as research subjects, namely Muslimat and Aisyiah in Tulungagung Regency. With the Living Quran approach, this research shows that women’s insight on women's leadership have diverse spectrum influenced by their religious understanding of the Quran as well as organizational policies and daily experiences. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kompetensi komunikasi pemimpin organisasi Muslimat dan ‘Aisyiyah di Surabaya. Penelitian menggunakan jenis deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, pengamatan, dan telaah dokumen. Data dianalisis dengan model alir melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian, kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini mendeskripsikan bahwa kompetensi komunikasi yang dimiliki pemimpin Muslimat dan ‘Aisyiyah dalam pembinaan anggota diimplementasikan dalam pembagian tugas dan kewenangan yang terstruktur dalam organisasi. This article examines the preferences of the Nasyiatul Aisyiyah philanthropy that encourage the development of women empowerment. The Nasyiatul Aisyiyah is a female voluntary- and Islamic-based- organization, which was under the auspice of the Aisyiyah until 1965 when Muhammadiyah granted their autonomy. Since its first establishment, the Nasyiah has devoted itself to the development of philanthropy. In this article, I contend that the Nasyiah philanthropy has experienced up and down situation, although the Nasyiah philanthropy has developed significantly in its efforts to empower women in the community. The I find that the preferences of the Nasyiah philantrophy consist of self-actualization, women empowerment, social entrepreneurship, and social welfare.

Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peran organisasi perempuan dalam pembangunan di Nagari Canduang, Koto Laweh, Kabupaten Agam serta mengidentifikasi upaya organisasi perempuan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi anggotanya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Informan yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini adalah tokoh pemerintahan, tokoh masyarakat, pengurus organisasi perempuan/kader dan masyarakat yang tinggal di kanagarian tersebut.
