The purpose of this study w as to know the distribution of nutrients and their effect to the distribution of phytoplankton in the eastern area of Belitung water. Sampling was done on October 2006. Water samples were collected from the surface and at depth 10 m among 10 stations. For chemical and physical properties, samples were collected from both of surface and at depth 10 m while for phytoplankton content, samples were collected fr om surface water. Samples were analyzed for phosphate, nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, silicate, pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, salinity and concentration of plankton. The result showed that the concentration of phosphate, nitrate, nitrite and silicate were tended to decrease followed to the distance of station from the shore line. Dissolved oxygen and phytoplankton were tended to decrease as the depth. There was positive correlation between salinity and concentration of plankton. It led to conclusion that the water was still suitable for living biota.

The agricultural sector remains one of the important sectors of the city although Banjarbaru only has limited arable land, aspired to and developed into a metropolitan city with a fourdimensional. This study aims to determine the type of superior agricultural crops are the priorities developed and the district developed which is superior commodity to be developed. This study analysis by The Location Quotient (LQ) with secondary data period from 2007 to 2011 (time series) is sourced from the central bureau of statistics Banjarbaru city. The results showed that the sub-sector was the most superior agricultural and horticultural crops both broiler chickens and laying hens. Superior vegetable crops developed in the Landasan Ulin district; rice crop in Cempaka district. Broiler and layer developed in Liang Anggang district. Gardener plants in Banjarbaru Utara and Banjarbaru Selatan district.

ABSTRAK Seiring dengan bertambahnya kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap batu bara, yang banyak digunakan untuk pembangkit listrik tenaga uap (PLTU) ataupun sebagai alternatif pengganti bahan bakar yang telah ada, perlu adanya usaha pemenuhan kebutuhan batu bara. Salah satu caranya, dengan melakukan eksploitasi terhadap kawasan yang diduga mengandung cadangan batu bara. Dengan dukungan data awal eksploitasi jumlah produksi batu bara maka dapat diesti masi jumlah cadangan batu bara di kawasan yang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengaplikasikan analisis kriging, khususnya ordinary kriging untuk mengestimasi jumlah cadangan batu bara di Kabupaten Seluma Kecamatan Seluma. Analisis kriging ini dapat m enghemat biaya dan mempersingkat waktu dalam proses memprediksi lokasi pertambangan dan estimasi cadangan batu bara.
