Biomimicry which has been developed in many parts of the world, continues to apply as an experimental approach to design. Design process requires an interdisciplinary approach, including sustainability to solve both aesthetic and functional challenges. Biomimicry as a sustainable design paradigm, emphasis on natural ventilation while eliminating the cost and disadvantages of additional ventilation systems. Meanwhile, it could decrease the CO2 eruptions in buildings and generate unlimited electricity power using natural sunlight. The outcome leads to preserve fossil fuels as a secondary energy source while promoting the ecological balance to improve our living environment. This study explores the reasons behind the failure of biomimicry approach in Turkey's architectural design as well as the country's educational system. Natural-built environments hosting rich living species along with humans contain life stories. When users are alluded to be the protagonists of life stories and the natural-built environments to be the scenes of life, then it is emphasized that site analyses are studies in which the existing life is deciphered, and spatial designs are stories integrated into the mosaic of life. Emphasizing the space-life inseparability illuminates the metaphysical scope of architectural design. The act of architectural design, in which phenomenological experience-cognitive analysis-individual design act simultaneously, is a creative process integrating subjectiveobjective dimensions. This study aims to shed light on the dynamic structure of the creative design act moving between scales and the space-life integrity. Therefore it is examined how the perceptions transform natural-built spaces, and how analytical studies exploring environmental life stories of natural-built urban environments/rural/abandoned settlements relate to spatial designs being new life stories. It is noted that assigning design area-architectural program proposals to the student's choice will be supportive of revealing the unique physicalsocial dynamics of various natural-built environments. By grasping the space-life integrity through stories students might interrogate applied/unimplemented architectural projects in the context of form-service-meaning, establish relationships between design-theory, and take responsibility for physical-social issues.

Due to the side effects of overpopulation and the impacts of technological advancements, there has been an increasing demand on detached houses. These side effects can be listed as; air pollution, environmental polution, lack of security and lack of green areas inside cities. As the results of the newly-born professions and new working conditions, working from home has become more popular. The community life that apartments offer, is not a life style that is comfortable for online working. Compensation of the need for isolation from public life and the rush thanks to detached houses can help people change their living areas from closed spaces to open air spaces near their houses. For this reason, landscaping of a structure has a great importance. As the consequence of this chain reaction, taking the landscape design into consideration under the lights of biophilic design criteria, consciously or not, may be a great opportunity to strengthen the bond with the nature in order to increase the quality of life. For these reasons, this study investigates the importance of choosing biophilic approach in landscape and interior design of detached houses, and the contributions to the design. In this study, firstly biophilic design was researched, than biophilic design scales and lastly the contribution that biophilic design offers to different design scales were investigated. After the literature review study, applicable design criteria have been listed to increase the contribution of biophilic design to the interior and exterior design of such buildings.

Bu çalışma kapsamında, sanat nesnesi ve tasarım nesnesi arasındaki güçlü bağlantılar analiz edilecek, sanat ve tasarım eylemlerindeki ortak noktaların belirlenmesi, içmimarlık mesleğinin sanat mı? tasarım mı? Olduğu, mesleğin zanaatı nasıl hangi boyutlarıyla ele aldığı? sorularına veri toplama, karşılaştırma ve örnekleme yöntemleri kullanılarak cevap aranacaktır.

Öz Mimarlık, tasarımda yararlanmak üzere doğal objelere yönelirken, analojik yaklaşımlardan uzaklaşarak, yerini metaforik seviyeye çıkan bir öğrenmeye bırakmaktadır. Bu makalede mimarlıkta ekomimikri konusu ve ekomimaride orman kurma metaforunu esas alan araştırmaya dayalı bir konsept takdim edilmektedir. Önerilen çalışılan bu konseptin dayandığı yaklaşım; mimari mekânları orman ekosistemindeki işleyişi örnek alarak düzenlemeye çalışmak olup, makalede bu yaklaşımın ekomimikri mantığına ve mimari tasarım pratiğine uygunluğu ele alınmaktadır. Araştırma sorusu; Mimari tasarımda biyomimetik bir yaklaşım olarak orman kurma metaforunun unsurlarının neler olduğu, bunun tasarım amacıyla kullanılma potansiyeli ve bu yaklaşımın tasarımda nasıl hayata geçirilebileceğidir. Bu makalede: Biyomimikri ve ekomimikrinin ekolojik mimarideki yeri nedir, ne olmalıdır ve yine biyomimari ve ekosistem temelli tasarım, pratikte nerede buluşabilir, sorularına cevap aranmıştır. Metafor yöntemi kullanılmış ve metafor olarak orman ekosistemi seçilmiştir. Geliştirilen metafor ışığında; ağaç diker gibi bina dikmenin, orman kurar gibi şehir kurmanın imkân ve pratiğinin araştırıldığı bu çalışmanın sonucunda ulaşılan bulgulara dayanarak, mimari tasarım alanına yönelik öneriler sunulmaktadır.

Tasarýmcýya geleneksel yöntemlerden farklý bir rol yükleyen evrimsel tasarým metodu, yeni bir insan-bilgisayar etkileþimi olarak ortaya çýkmaktadýr. Bu çalýþmanýn amacý, tasarým sürecinde otomasyonu saðlayan evrimsel tasarým yöntemini incelemektir.

This study evaluates the dystopic universe patterned on biopolitical framework of Claire Denis' movie High Life (2018). It analyses the movie by Foucault's concepts such as power, biopolitics, discipline, surveillance and punishment. The article investigates what kind of subjectivity is produced in the ship by various discipline and punishment techniques such as imprisonment, surveillance, sexual control, and spatial arrangement on the ship, applied to a group of criminals sent to space and whose survival depends on life support units. By evaluating how discourses about science, law and politics marginalize the prisoners' bodies within the framework of an experiment in space, the consequences of these discourses that interrupt Western modernism are discussed. In this context, it is argued that the film can be seen as an example of a critical dystopia. In addition, it is questioned whether the film, which expresses the spread of power through power relations based on a hierarchical basis, mentions any resistance against domination practices and whether it contains a utopian hope.
