Characterization of the conveyance and distribution efficiency in the "Chichipata" branch secondary canal of the Tumbaco irrigation system, 2019

The measurement of the conveyance and distribution efficiency of irrigation water are important to improve the integral water management in the system. The following parameters were determined: the conveyance efficiency in the secondary branch canal, the conveyance, distribution and transport efficiency in a tertiary unit, over or sub-irrigation and the socio-organizational aspects as well. Conventional methodologies were used in the calculations. Results: the average conveyance efficiency in the branch canal was 96.40%; the conveyance, distribution and transport efficiencies in the oval were 76.67%, 53.05% and 39.61%, respectively; 60% of the users presented sub irrigation; the irrigation times assigned by the water user association board affected the distribution efficiency. Conclusions: the average conduction efficiency in the branch was high; the distribution efficiency in the oval was poor; the lack of irrigation times computed according to the crop water needs affected the distribution efficiency. Una vez iniciada la traducción al español de la versión en inglés del Dr. Pierce, un camarada al que llamaré en adelante "Dietz" comenzó la traducción directamente del alemán. Por motivos personales tuvo que abandonarla sin incorporar las notas y sin tiempo para revisar el texto. El autor de esta edición ha realizado una revisión personal de la magnífica traducción de "Dietz", cotejando algunos aspectos con la del Dr. Pierce, en espera de que él mismo pueda terminar su excelente y concienzuda versión. No se puede esperar más sin una versión en español de esta obra fundamental para conocer la opinión de Hitler y de Eckart sobre cuestiones trascendentales para el siglo XX y el XXI. Nadie conocía mejor la opinión de Hitler que su maestro Eckart. Como muestra de la importancia de Eckart para Hitler, citamos el final de su libro "Mi lucha": «Bien sé que llegará el tiempo en que hasta los que ayer estuvieron contra nosotros, recordarán reverentes a los que, como nacionalsocialistas, rindieron por el pueblo alemán el caro tributo de su sangre, y entre los cuales quiero citar también al hombre que, como uno de los mejores, consagró su vida en la poesía, en la idea y por último en la acción, al resurgimiento del pueblo suyo y nuestro: DIETRICH ECKART». El lector puede tener la total garantía de que esta traducción directa del alemán y completa no elimina nada del original, aunque algunas cuestiones
