This study contributes to enrich our understanding of knowledge workers' behavior in continuing knowledge sharing through Knowledge Management System (KMS). We extended Xu and Quaddus post-adoption model by proposing a new perspective on how to understand knowledge workers' behavior by considering different belief and expectation of them. Existing KMS adoption have not thoroughly explored the different belief and expectation of knowledge workers in knowledge sharing (KS). Most of previous model provides limited information in understanding on how knowledge worker sharing their knowledge through KMS. This study will provides a model to understand knowledge workers' behavior in sharing their knowledge through KMS.

Most companies realize the knowledge sharing will give value to the organization. In ensuring knowledge sharing activities more reliable, effective and efficient, many companies have developed Knowledge Management System (KMS) as their knowledge sharing initiatives. Knowledge Management System would not make any different in term of advantages of knowledge sharing if individuals refuse in sharing their knowledge. Understanding individual characteristic in knowledge sharing through Knowledge Management System is crucial. In this paper, authors propose a comprehensive antecedent of Knowledge Management System acceptance by extending Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and called it as perceived benefit of knowledge sharing. Previous TAM for KMS acceptance is lack of knowledge contributor perspective in term of knowledge sharing advantages. They just look for knowledge seeker perspective. In this study we will fill this gap and propose both perspective of knowledge workers as contributor and knowledge seeker. Furthermore, we incorporate how trust, shared vision, organization and socialcultural factors influence KMS Acceptance.

Knowledge sharing has been receiving the highest concern among knowledge management processes. In fact, the practice of knowledge sharing in an organisation is influenced by employees' intention for sharing knowledge. This paper investigates the influence of knowledge sharing systems and Web 2.0 on the individual's intention for knowledge sharing. Likewise, this paper examines the impact of knowledge sharing intention on the practice of knowledge sharing in organisations, particularly in oil and gas industry. Accordingly, a model was proposed, and research hypotheses were developed. Data were collected using a survey method. Measurements were verified through reliability analysis. Preliminary statistical analysis were completed. Then, structural equation modelling approach was used to evaluate the research model and test the hypotheses. The findings indicated that both knowledge sharing systems and Web 2.0 platform positively influence knowledge sharing intention. Besides, the intention to share knowledge has a positive influence on the knowledge sharing practice within organisations.
In the new global knowledge has become a central issue for organization's survival. Recently, in knowledge management (KM)-related research effective knowledge sharing (KS) is considered as a significant component of KM success. The importance of knowledge sharing in knowledge management can be interpreted as a blood circulating in the body. There has been a dramatically interest in examining the factors that encourage or hamper individual's knowledge sharing behavior in social network. Some theories such as Social Exchange Theory (SET), Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA), Theory of Planned Behavior (TBP), and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) are vastly used to understand human behavior and are also considered as a critical base to understand individual's knowledge sharing behavior. For the present research, the authors intend to review the previous researches that explored different factors effect on knowledge sharing behavior. So, the purpose of this paper is to review r...

One indication of Knowledge Management System (KMS) success is when the knowledge seeker actively access the knowledge stored within the system's repository. Unfortunately, studies that specifically designed to provide more understanding about the behavior of the knowledge seeker with regard to their acceptance of KMS are still quite rare. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that influence the behavior of knowledge seeker(s) in KMS acceptance. A research model for this study was developed using the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA), and the data was collected from 125 knowledge seekers from three companies in Indonesia. By utilizing the Squares Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) techniques with Smart PLS V2 software, the results of the statistical analysis confirmed that there is a positive correlation between the factors of management, effort and social relationship and the intention of knowledge seeker(s) in KMS acceptance. However, the correlation between the benefit factor and the intention of knowledge seeker(s) in KMS acceptance was not found.

This paper discusses development and validation of an instrument that will use to examine knowledge contributor's behaviour in acceptance of Knowledge Management System (KMS). The instrument is one part of the research that conducts to understand KMS acceptance of knowledge contributor. The instrument is conceptually developed based on the technology acceptance model, existing KMS acceptance model and enhanced with social exchange theory in explaining the unique behaviour of knowledge contributor by using the KMS. The instrument was tested to ensure it achieves adequate validity and reliability aspect. Test of the instrument is conducted using a sample of 30 users in a company in the banking sector. It was found the instrument has acceptable reliability and validity for 6 construct of the instrument, furthermore instrument also found to have strong predictive validity. The final instrument contains 33 item perceptual measurement scales.

Global knowledge has become a central issue for an organization"s survival. In the last few decades, Web technologies have become widely used for Knowledge Management; these are called Knowledge Management Systems (KMS). Recently, in Knowledge Management (KM) the effectiveness of knowledge sharing has been considered a significant component for KMS success. In the most universities the KM is often inadequate when it comes to knowledge sharing, especially between academics. In order to encourage knowledge sharing, it is important to know why/where/when academics choose to contribute or to receive shared knowledge. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate the factors that affect an academics" behavior towards knowledge sharing by using technology. Knowledge Sharing Technology model (KST) is proposed model was constructed combining the affecting factors: these factors are a synthesis of factors which already exist in current theories, i.e. the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and Social Exchange Model (SET), as well as other factors which are always explored independently in research studies The future work will focus on confirming the model.

The study aimed to examine the relationship between collaborative knowledge environment and intention to share knowledge based on the theory of reasoned action (TRA). To achieve the research objectives, this study adopted the descriptive design. A questionnaire and a convenience sampling were used to collect the data from sample of 395 employees of the Sudanese insurance firms. This study employed structural equation modeling using SPSS. The analysis of the data showed that only two components of collaborative knowledge environment (CKE) have a significant positive influence on intention to share knowledge (i.e., employee attitude and work group support) whereas the other remaining components of CKE, namely organizational culture and immediate supervisor support have a negative influence on KSI. These findings were discussed in the light of previous literature. As a conclusion, the study contributes to the knowledge sharing literature by illuminating the interrelations of context, collaborative knowledge environment, attitude, and intention, offering useful implications to theory and practice.
