In the society of ours, is it true really that computers and information technology have contributed immensely to the way we learn? After observing and reading various educational paraphernalia and scanning the environment research has shown that the educational systems have greatly been impacted by computers and information technology. With the growth of technology, the ways we learn have been improved tremendously. Innovative technologies have contributed to the innovation of learning in the education arena and outside. The traditional ways of conveying instructions to learners have been augmented with the use of computers information technologies. In the early years of human civilization education was once acquired one-on-one basis, which requires direct interaction between the teacher and the student, and requires a lot of effort from the student to acquire a small amount of information and henceforth be informed with a little impact. Additionally, during that time there were no enough aiding materials to help in acquiring knowledge like the ones available today. The afore-mentioned reasons make it very hard for individuals to acquire enough knowledge that will facilitate their contribution to the advancement of their societies and the humanity in general. Gradually through the years it started getting easier to assimilate knowledge and as a result formal schools were established, which paves the ground for today's modern educational system. Today, emergence of new technologies is trying to reshape the way education was long been acquired through the centuries and understanding the ways technology has helped with education and the actual impact it made on education will help us see how crucial technology has become in the modern world education. These new and emerging technologies challenge the long-established practice of teaching and learning, and the way education is managed. To fully understand the impact of technology on education we need to look at it from the perspectives of both teachers and students. Aim of the study: The aim of the study is to state the evolving technologies used in education today and their impacts. Methodology: The technique used in this study is analysis of secondary data from related research works and findings from the analyzed data. Findings: The finding of this work is that technology inevitably has a huge impact on the way knowledge is being transferred today, and if the right methodologies are employed a lot can be achieved.

Computer technologies pave the way for the usage of new methods, forms and means in education, the formation of children as an individual and the determination and development of his (her) hidden and obvious skills. It has been identified that children receive 70-80% of information from their parents and observations of life around them, mass media and social networks. There is a higher probability of children to obtain harmful information from social networks. Therefore, to control their use of the Internet and computer programs in beneficial ways is necessary. This is the responsibility of both parents and educational institutions. Thus, the application of computer technologies in education is one of the topical problems of the modern time. The paper deals with the role of computer technologies in the development of education system.

In some places of the world, access to education used to be limited. There were still many difficulties in distributing education to the general populace, even in countries where it existed. Education is now more widely accessible than it ever was because to numerous information technology advancements. Education has been significantly improved by inventions like the online classroom, and it is expanding daily all around the world. You can see how important information technology has grown in the realm of education by understanding how it has aided in education and the actual impact this created.
With the advent of Web 2.0 information has percolated everywhere specifically, in the area of education it improved the quality of learning as well as teaching. Various resources and technologies have been used to improve the quality of the education system. Prospective teachers, as well as teachers in-service, must aware about the impact of Information technology in the field of education as well as their subject area to make learning effective. This will help teachers to know the integrated technologies impact in their classroom teaching. This paper has discussed about the impact of Information technology on education system.

It is evident that information technology has affected changes to the methods, purpose and the perceived potential of education. While various authors differ in their opinion on the degree, desirability and destiny of these changes, all agree that change processes have certainly been underway. However, the process of change is far from over. Numerous authors auger grave peril for education institutions that refuse to integrate information technology into every level of the education institution. Some authors argue that the very nature of education itself will change. Information technology, whether perceived as a power for good or a power for evil, certainly has not been neutral. While effecting change has been difficult in many situations, contemporary information technology has by its very nature, been an agent of change in education institutions.
Because of computers, vast amounts of information are now literally at students fingertips. Teachers make use of digital multimedia tools to illuminate their lessons. Some classrooms are managed online and linking the geographically isolated and the underprivileged students to connect to broader learning communities. Virtually every aspect of education is affected by computer technology. Present study is centered to find impact of computer technology on school students.

Many students today are learning about computers. It is not clear, though, how computers should be used in school. This paper discusses the nature of the computer as a learning tool, and suggests ways in which computer based learning activities can fit into classrooms. In fact, the paper notes, the biggest impact of computers may be in terms of the ways they contribute to the social organization of the classroom. The Role Computers Play 3 Taking Control of Educational Technology by Bertram Bruce There is no such thing as a neutral educational process. Education either functions as an instrument which is used to facilitate the integration of the younger generation into the logic of the present system and bring about conformity to it, or it becomes "the practice of freedom," the means by which men and women deal critically and creatively with reality and discover how to participate in the transformation of their world. This study seeks to understand the effects of technology on education: teaching and learning. All the data used in this study comes from secondary sources. Information was gathered from several sources, including peer-reviewed journal papers, published and unpublished dissertations, online and print textbooks, and encyclopaedias. Findings: Evidence on the effects of technology is contradictory, according to a review of the relevant literature. Thanks to information technology developments, classroom collaboration between teachers and students is more efficient than ever. It broadens their academic and intellectual horizons, making students more versatile in the classroom. Due to the internet's accessibility, remote learning may now be supported by technological means. Students can use search engines to conduct research. Hardware failures, software incompatibilities between home and school, or non-existent internet connections, and outdated program versions are just some of the dependability problems that students and teachers face in the classroom. Because of developments in technology like graphical calculators, high-tech gadgets, and small cameras, dishonest students may now easily gain an edge over their
