This groundbreaking research illuminates a hitherto unexplored dimension in climate science, introducing the pioneering concept of the "Murcian Climate Attractor". Leveraging a rigorous analytical lens, this paper correlates the unwavering travel habits of individuals hailing from Murcia, a region in Spain, with the critical nuances of global climate metamorphosis observed over recent decades.

Professor Dolado has developed much of his professional career in three cities: Zaragoza, Oxford and Madrid. This fact, together with the recent appearance of literature relating climate with human behavior, has inspired us to analyze a set of relevant climate change issues linked to these areas, particularly any possible heterogeneity. The novel methodology proposed in Gadea and Gonzalo (2020a) for analyzing a wide range of characteristics of the temperature distribution (converting them into time series objects), instead of focusing solely on the mean, allows us to carry out this analysis. Using this methodology, we can identify local warming patterns within the global warming phenomenon of different types and intensities. The results show that there is a clear warming process in the three areas. The two Spanish cities (Zaragoza and Madrid) have many similarities but Oxford fits into a different type of warming category. The former are characterized by higher trends in the upper quantiles than in the lower, an increase in dispersion, acceleration and an upper amplification with respect to the mean. In Oxford, the type of climate change is different, displaying higher trends in the lower quantiles, a weak negative trend in dispersion, lower amplification and a more attenuated acceleration in recent decades. There is no doubt that a better knowledge of local warming heterogeneity is recommendable for the design of more effective mitigation policies. The influence of the climate on human behavior and, specifically, on Professor Dolados personality, takes us into lesser-known regions which are left for the reader to discern.

While climate change has gradually and crucially become a 'defining symbol' of our mutual relationship with the environment, an investigation of its role in complex, multi-causal phenomena of human mobility has emerged as a salient policy-making issue only during the last years, with the period between the Cancun negotiations of the UNFCCC in 2010 and the 2015 Paris negotiations representing a crucial moment in policy making as regards the climate change and migration nexus. The purpose of the article is to explore representations of migration and displacement in the context of anthropogenic climate change in newspaper discourse through a critical diachronic corpus-assisted discourse analytical perspective. For the purpose of this study, a diachronic, domain-specific corpus of newspaper articles from a selection of UK and US broadsheets has been gathered through the Nexis online searchable database. Particular attention is placed on whether any significant discursive shifts ...

Over the last century, the planet has metaphorically contracted as transport has developed to meet the demands of the populous. Global participation in this expansion has been disproportionate as the driving force for transport demand is ultimately economic growth, which in itself results in an increased need for travel. The activities of the transport systems in most countries are sensitive to a range of weather extremes, including those related to precipitation, thunderstorms, temperature, winds, visibility and sea level. The impact of climate, climate variability and climate change, in particular the impact of these extremes on transport systems and adaptation measures are discussed. The foundation of climate services to assist informed decision-making for climate change adaptation and travelling time prediction, planning and designing, which require close collaboration among a wide range of Disciplines and the engagement of the users such as the transport systems' communities by using the weather-traffic indices extracted have been validated to be surprisingly consistent with real world observations.
