the Qur’anic studies in Indonesia continue to experiencing a significant growth. Lukman Abdul Qohar Sumabrata, Lukman Saksono, and Anharudin offered a symbolic method of interpretation. They seek to interpret the Qur’an with different perspectives by looking at its format and structure, leading to different interpretations of the Qur’an. Lukman Abdul Qahar Sumabrata’s interpretation method attracted attentions from many people and encouraged them to study more closely the format and structure of the Qur’an. This article reveals the history of the rise and the development of calligraphy in Islam. By referring to the history and texts of al-Quran, this articles shows that Islamic calligraphy have undergone some significant development because of the textual effect of al-Quran and the al-Sunnah which highlight the necessity of calligraphy for Muslims. The prohibition of drawing living things raised by fuqaha in the medieval age even intensified the development of calligraphy. Then, in its development, Islamic calligraphy is not only an artistic expression of Muslims, but, for centuries, the Sufi have been taken the wisdom (hikmah) of spiritual aspects of calligraphy. 1.1. Simbolisme Simbolisme muncul pada akhir abad ke-19 di Perancis, penyajian karya seni menjadi subjektif karena seniman tidak meniru alam melainkan menciptakan penafsiran bebas. Lebih tepat berkembang semenjak sastra Perancis pada tahun 1880. Dan semenjak tahun 1886 dalam manifesto Le Figaro oleh Jean Moréas, karya ini semakin populer. Simbolisme muncul sebagai reaksi melawan rasionalisme dan materialisme dalam dominasi budaya Eropa. Moréas menyatakan kebenarannya dalam sujektivitas murni dan ekspresi sebuah ide mengenai deskripsi realistik mengenai dunia alamiah.

This article aims to discuss the symbolization of colors in the Qur'an. In the article, the symbolism of colors in the Qur'an is discussed using the thematic interpretation theory pioneered by Abdul Hay al-Farmawi. Through this thematic interpretation, theory found 6 colors found in the Koran, namely red, yellow, green, blue, black, and white scattered in 33 ayat contained in 22 surahs by mapping the results of research using thematic analysis techniques. The results of color research in the Qur'an are expressions that are marked with color in various forms of lafadz as a symbol to describe certain objects in a situation, situation, place, and nature of the object. Pembullyan merupakan tindakan agresif yang dilakukan kepada orang-orang tertentu yang bertujuan untuk kesenangan sang pembully. Salah satu contoh bully terdapat di Pesantren yang merupakan institusi pendidikan berlandaskan nilai-nilai islam, dan terkadang pesantren dicederai nama baiknya oleh santri-santri yang dibully ataupun membully. Oleh karena itu peneliti ingin meneliti tentang kejadian pembullyan di pesantren yang sering kali terjadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan perspektif sosiologi interaksionisme simbolik untuk mengkaji kejadian pembullyan yang ada di pesantren. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka. Hasilnya, pembullyan di pesantren terjadi karena simbol-simbol yang sejak lama tertanam di pesantren diantaranya, kedisiplinan, senioritas dan maskulinitas laki-laki.

This research explains about symbolic violence in Islamic religious education books is rarely done. It also checks whether or not the books used so far contain symbolic violence, because there should be no difference in religious education between upper-class and lower-class. The formulation of the problems in this study are; how the mechanism of symbolic violence in Islamic religious education textbooks in elementary schools, and how the proportion of upper-class habitus and lower-class habitus in Islamic religious education textbooks in elementary schools. This research is a qualitative study with the type of literature study. The results showed that symbolic violence still occurred in elementary schools. The mechanism that runs is through an educational strategy by hiding the process of symbolic violence in the curriculum or what we know as the hidden curriculum. Simbol tampil dan hadir dengan sendirinya, tetapi dicitrakan menjadi entitas yang luar biasa sehingga mampu menjadi pemikat dalam mencapai tujuan partai politik.
