In this essay the attempt will be to read Marx's historical materialism from the point of view of the Radical Embodied Cognitive Science (RECS). The contribution is divided into three main sections. In the first paragraph, the "entity realism" of Anthony Chemero is discussed. Using Gibson's notion of affordance, Chemero's attempt is to overcome the dualism between subject and object on one hand, and on the other hand, to consider reality more as a net of relations rather than of "entities". These assumptions are discussed at the light of Marx's works. In the second paragraph, the attempt to put into contact the contemporary debate on materialism with Marx's historical materialism is justified. In the third paragraph, the key role played by the body in the human knowing process of reality and the relevance of labour as anthropological and gnoseological category in order to put into question the opposition between subject and object in Marx's philosophy are underlined.

Non è una questione solo linguistica, dietro le scelte ci sono ragioni ideologiche e sociali Non chiudiamoci a priori ai cambiamenti della lingua, se affioreranno. Le lingue sono organismi viventi, che variano a seconda del variare delle società che in quelle lingue si identificano. L’evoluzione dei fenomeni linguistici non può essere pilotata dall’alto, con imposizioni dirigistiche. I parlanti decidono liberamente, scegliendo le forme linguistiche adatte a rappresentare la propria sensibilità. Poi, collettivamente e nei tempi necessari, un tratto linguistico, se condiviso dalla maggioranza, prevale e si generalizza, diventa norma.

The objective of this contribution is to identify how the participation of citizens, civil society organizations, and stakeholders can contribute to shaping European policies and internal regulatory activities. Such participation can be facilitated by the presence of new technologies, which must, however, be accessible and understood in their opportunities by all citizens.
