Thoughts?

Have you looked around LiveJournal to see how others are using it? Does it feel friendly and usable to you? Will it fit easily into your routine?

I've been using LJ for personal blogging for several years, so if you have any questions, ask away!

Sample critique thread

So if you'd submitted a piece of writing for critique, you would make a post listing your questions, concerns, what-have-you. Your partners would respond by replying to that post.

LJ entries can't be threaded like the message board, but they do have tags. You can create one or more tags for each post--say, your name, the name of your novel, etc., and you can search the community for only with that tag. That's how you'd keep your own feedback organized.

First message

Welcome, everybody. Right now, the community is viewable by anyone who stumbles across it. If we go with LiveJournal, it will be locked down so that only the nine of us will be able to view posts.

To use this system, everyone will have to have a LiveJournal account. To find out more about what LJ can do and to create an account, visit the main page at www.livejournal.com
