Frequently Asked Questions
Does the HTML Forms integration require Pro?
Features marked FREE work with any Popup Maker installation. Features marked PRO require Pro or Pro+. You don’t need Pro+ for form integrations—that tier adds e-commerce and LMS features.
Will AJAX submissions work correctly?
Yes. HTML Forms uses native AJAX submission through WordPress admin-ajax.php. Forms submit without page reloads, validation happens server-side, and Popup Maker detects completion events instantly to trigger close behaviors, follow-up popups, and conversion tracking. The entire workflow happens seamlessly without interrupting user experience.
Can I show different popups for different HTML Forms forms?
Yes. The Form Submission trigger can target specific HTML Forms form IDs. Create unique thank-you popups for your newsletter, contact form, and beta signup forms. Each form can trigger a different popup with personalized messaging.
What does the "Is Filling Form" condition do?
This Pro condition detects when visitors are actively filling out a specific form. Use it to show contextual popups to users engaged with forms—like documentation tooltips, formatting helpers, or draft save reminders for developers working with complex technical forms.
Will this work with custom HTML I write?
Absolutely. HTML Forms lets you write raw HTML markup with data attributes for form handling. Any valid HTML Forms markup renders correctly in popups—custom field types, conditional validation, nested fieldsets, custom styling, JavaScript enhancements. The integration detects form submission regardless of your custom HTML structure.
Does the integration support HTML Forms' redirect options?
Yes. HTML Forms can redirect users after submission via the `redirect` attribute. Popup close behaviors and triggers fire before redirects occur, so you can show a thank-you popup briefly before the redirect, or close the popup and let the redirect happen immediately. The integration respects your redirect configuration.
How do I track form popup conversions?
Free users: Enable Form Submission as Conversion for automatic display management. Pro users: Full analytics with impressions, conversions, rates, and time-to-conversion in the dashboard.
