You will first need to install the Plover Kit plugin to access the global settings. After install and active Plover Kit plugin, you can access this module via “WordPress Dashboard -> Plover Kit -> Modules -> Dark Mode“
You can access the Global Settings options by clicking on the title or Settings button.
Default color mode
You can use this option to set the color mode that should be used the first time a user visits the site.
System is the default value, it depends on the visitor’s system, nowadays both Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android and IOS systems support dark mode, this option matches the default color mode of the website with the color mode of the visitor’s operating system.
Cookie period
When a visitor toggle the color modes, we use cookies to save the visitor’s changes in the browser so that the visitor does not lose their preferences when using your site, which helps to enhance the user experience.
The cookie period option allows you to control how long we keep this cookie, default is session which means expires when browser is closed.
