The Export Users module lets you quickly export WordPress user data to CSV, JSON, or TXT formats. Whether exporting individual profiles or bulk users, it provides an easy way to back up user information, migrate data, or share records with teams and developers.
How to use
To enable the Export Users Module:
- Click on the “Users” category
- Search or scroll to locate the Export Users Module
- Click on the switch to enable
What’s next?
This module allows you to export user data in various formats. After enabling:
- For Individual Users:
- Go to Users > All Users
- Hover over a user and click “Export”
- Select your preferred export format (CSV, JSON, or TXT)
- The file will download automatically
- For Multiple Users:
- Go to Users > All Users
- Select the users you want to export using the checkboxes
- Choose “Bulk Actions” > “Export” from the dropdown
- Click “Apply” and select your export format
- From User Profile:
- Edit any user’s profile
- Find the “Export User Data” section
- Select your preferred export format
- Click “Export” to download the data
Available Export Formats:
- CSV: Comma-separated values, ideal for spreadsheets
- JSON: JavaScript Object Notation, perfect for developers
- TXT: Plain text format for simple data extraction
Settings:
Click on the “Settings” tab below the module name to:
- Choose which export formats to make available
- Select default fields to include in exports
- Configure export options
The exported file will include all relevant user data, including username, email, registration date, roles, and custom fields. The file will be automatically downloaded with a name in the format:
[sitename]-users-export-[date].[format]
