What’s New: WP Delicious v1.6.8 and WP Delicious Pro v2.1.6

We’re excited to announce the release of WP Delicious v1.6.8 and WP Delicious Pro v2.1.6! These updates are packed with amazing new features and improvements, including enhanced equipment features, an improved recipe gallery, a WP Recipe Maker importer, recipe roundups, and much more. 

Designed to elevate your food blogging experience, these updates bring some of the most requested functionalities and enhancements to help you take your blog to the next level.

WP Delicious v1.6.8 Updates

Import Recipes from WP Recipe Maker

In our latest update, we’ve added the ability to import recipes directly from the WP Recipe Maker plugin. This new feature effortlessly maps and imports all the fields from WP Recipe Maker into WP Delicious, making the transition smooth and hassle-free.

Recipe Gallery Enhancement

We have added the feature that allows you to sort the images of your recipe gallery. Simply drag and sort the order of the images as per your preference.


Serving Size for Nutrition Chart

In the previous update, we had removed this feature as we noticed that nutritional information is shown per serving.

We received requests from our users to add this feature back as they sometimes use different serving sizes for nutritional information.


Other Enhancements and Fixes

In addition to the above major updates, we also worked on the some of the minor issues which includes:

  • Enhancement: Added Classic Editor support notice to admin.
  • Fixes: Resolved instruction counter issue.
  • Fixes: Addressed email template escaping problem.
  • Fixes: Fixed plural unit not appearing in schema issue.
  • Fixes: Fixed reported plugin vulnerability.
  • Fixes: Fixes issue related to single recipe page comment reply.
  • Fixes: Resolved issue regarding search filter in FSE theme.

WP Delicious Pro v2.1.6 Updates

The Pro version also includes some exciting updates for lead generation and better engagement of your readers. We also addressed some of the issues reported by our users.

Recipe Roundup Block

The Recipe Roundup Block is designed to enhance your food blogging experience. With this block, you can easily compile and showcase your favorite recipes. You have the flexibility to add recipes from your existing collection or manually input new recipes. Further, you can also choose from three different visually appealing layouts.

In addition to its user-friendly design, the Recipe Roundup Block is optimized for Google, allowing your recipes to be displayed in a carousel format on search results. This feature utilizes the itemList schema, ensuring your content is well-structured for better visibility and SEO performance. 

Whether you’re curating themed recipe collections or highlighting seasonal favorites, the Recipe Roundup Block makes it simple and effective.

Enhanced Equipment Feature

The revamped Equipment feature is designed to make managing and displaying your cooking tools easier and more effective. 

The new improvement includes:

Effortless Organization: Now, you can categorize your equipment, making it simpler for your reader to find your equipment recommendation. 

Use External Images: If you participate in Amazon Associates or any other affiliate program, you can directly showcase product images from the affiliate source.

Customization: Add custom labels to your equipment, like “Top Pick” or “My Favorites,” to help your readers easily identify the best tools you recommend.

Improved Equipment Listing Page: The improved design offers a seamless browsing experience with its Ajax search feature, allowing your readers to instantly find what they need without refreshing the page. 

Your readers can choose between flexible grid or list layouts to display your equipment in the most appealing format. Additionally, category filters make it easy for readers to quickly locate the equipment they’re interested in.

Recipe Card Flexibility: Customize how equipment appears in your recipe cards. With options to override the equipment section using shortcodes or custom text, you can tailor the presentation to fit your exact needs.

Edit Converted Units

The new update adds flexibility to modify units generated by the Automatic Nutrition Calculator. This allows for precise adjustments to ensure your nutritional information is accurate and tailored to your specific needs.

Display Affiliate Links with asterisk(*)

You can mark and highlight affiliate links in your content using asterisk(*) at the end of the link. By adding an asterisk, you can clearly indicate which links are affiliate-based, ensuring transparency and trust with your readers.

Other Enhancements and Fixes

In addition to the above major features, we also worked on some issues reported by our customers. It includes:
