Translating configurations

Translation settings

You can translate the plugin in two ways:

  • Translate strings only
  • Translate all configuration forms, inputs and options

The latter one requires more work, but allows you to configure different cost per language option. For example, you can charge 30$ in America and 25$ in Australia.

String translation

Head over to WCB > Settings > Advanced and switch to string translation

Save the settings.

Now an additional metabox should show up on the page:

Clicking the button “register strings”, registers all current configuration, input and choice labels and option labels and notes.

This allows you to simply translate all current translation texts inside the String translation section of your multi language plugin.

Translating posts

The other option is to translate all posts individually.

You can best begin by translating all the choices and inputs. And finally translate the configuration forms itself.

Luckily you don’t have to translate the formula’s and visuals, because their choice and input values will be mapped to the corresponding translated posts.

This ensures the formula calculation and the visual representation of your forms stay intact.
