CULTfilm presents another rare gem, this time pulled straight from the personal VHS collection of programmer Dani van Duin, who has a long-standing connection with this band. In today’s increasingly conservative climate, it’s almost surreal to remember that not so long ago Rockbitch toured the world with performances that openly celebrated sexual freedom and body positivity. The back of the tape sets the tone perfectly:
Rockbitch: English pagan lesbian sluts who live in an old monastery in France and play ‘Bitchrock’, a revolutionary and extreme style of rock theatre.
This video is an insight into the life and stage performance of this unique band. It contains interviews, the monastery and the complete uncensored concert, including fist fucking, pissing, female sex acts and the Golden Condom Award.

CULTfilm presenteert opnieuw een zeldzaam juweel, ditmaal rechtstreeks uit de persoonlijke VHS-collectie van programmeur Dani van Duin, die een bijzondere band heeft met deze groep. In een tijd waarin de wereld steeds conservatiever wordt, is het bijna onvoorstelbaar dat Rockbitch nog niet zo lang geleden internationaal optrad met shows die openlijk seksuele vrijheid en body positivity vierden. De tekst op de achterkant van de tape zet meteen de toon:
Rockbitch: Engelse, heidense, lesbische performers die samenleven in een oud klooster in Frankrijk en ‘Bitchrock’ spelen, een revolutionaire en extreme vorm van rocktheater.
Deze video biedt een inkijkje in het leven en de podiumoptredens van deze unieke band. Het bevat interviews, beelden uit het klooster en het volledige, ongecensureerde concert, inclusief expliciete elementen uit hun performancekunst, waaronder fist fucking, golden shower en de uitreiking van de Golden Condom Award.
Diverse instanties in heel Europa hebben geprobeerd de band te verbieden, maar Rockbitch liet zich niet tegenhouden. Ze waren een ontembare oerkracht, losgelaten in de beschaving.
