Hi @mowdud
If an AIOSEO plugin request is being blocked then this is likely due to the firewall seeing legitimate AIOSEO plugin requests as being potentially malicious and blocking them. You can either add these requests to the allowlist via the Learning Mode feature or from the Tools >> Live Traffic tool page. Both allowlisting methods are described in our instructions in the link below:
Hi @escozul
Thank you for the update.
Our documentation states that our CAPTCHA test may not work on the custom login pages of forms generated by the theme or another pluging:
Hi @nerakk
Please send your Wordfence diagnostics report.
Update to the latest version of Wordfence if you haven’t already done so.
Go to the top of the “Diagnostics” tab on the Wordfence “Tools” page. There will be a “SEND REPORT BY EMAIL” button to send the diagnostics report. Enter wftest [at] wordfence [dot] com as the email and nerakk as the forum username please.
Once you have emailed me the diagnostics report can you reply here to let me know that it has been sent. This is important in the unlikely event that your installation of WordPress is having an issue with sending mail
Hi @eugenegrant
Thank you for the feedback.
Hi @rwalle
If your hosting provider doesn’t allow you to use a
.user.inifile or aphp.inifile then you won’t be able to optimize the firewall. We have a guide below between Basic Protection and Extended Protection:
Hi @tictubso
I have replied to your other topic with instructions and will resolve this one.
Hi @tictubso
A work colleague mentioned to me that we’ve seen this when using plugins that are meant to modify Wordfence, and that it breaks some of Wordfence’s functionality. You should understand if you look through your list of plugins for one related to Wordfence. If you see it then you need to delete that plugin, then delete and reinstall Wordfence. You could make a copy of the free license key before reinstalling, but don’t use our export/import options tool because the same problem will occur again.
Hi @rwalle
Thank you for the update.
You will need to ask your hosting provider if you can set the our code in a
php.inifile instead.Hi @tictubso
Thank you for the update.
Our plugin doesn’t send any emails. WordPress sends our emails as we use the WordPress mail function to send Wordfence related emails. WordPress not sending all emails is a common problem. You can ask your hosting provider if they can see why WordPress is not sending all email.
Try the following but send to your own email address
Update to the latest version of Wordfence if you haven’t already done so.
Go to the top of the “Diagnostics” tab on the Wordfence “Tools” page. There will be a “SEND REPORT BY EMAIL” button to send the diagnostics report to your own email address and tictubso as the forum username please.
If it arrives then forward the email to wftest [at] wordfence [dot] com.
Once you have done that then reply here to let me know that it has been sent.
Hi @s56bouya
We are going to add an improvement for this in a future version of the plugin but we don’t have a timescale for when that will be.
Hi @s56bouya
Thank you for the additional feedback. I have asked the team about this and I will send a reply once I have an update.
Hi @tictubso
Thank you for the update.
The report hasn’t arrived so WordPress may not be able to send all mail. You can ask your hosting provider to check the mail server for any problems.
If you have at least Wordfence version 7.4.9 installed then you can export a report instead. There will be an EXPORT button at the top of the page to export a diagnostics report text file.
Attach the text file in an email and send to wftest [at] wordfence [dot] com. Add your username tictubso to the email subject field so that I can find it.
Once you have sent the email can you reply here to let me know that it has been sent.
Hi @tictubso
I have asked for your diagnostics report in your other topic so that is all I need for now for this topic too.

Hi @rwalle
Thank you for the update.
Please ask your hosting provider to enable the
user_ini.filenamePHP directive and use the default string value of.user.iniOnce that has been done then you will be able to optimize the firewall.
