t-p, I am good at debugging, however it is not my job to debug your software.
If you can put me in touch with the developers, I would be happy to try to help them diagnose this problem. But they have to fix it.
Thanks, that is helpful. However it assumes you can lo in to the old installion, which I cannot — the login php script seems to be missing.
Moreover the WP database also seems to be missing.
So all I really have is the WP_content directory.
Can I restore the blog pages from just that?

It didn’t take me too long to figure out that I needed to put the external name of my host in the WP settings instead of ‘localhost’. But I’m glad I wasn’t the first newbie to hit this snag.
