I created a thread 11 months ago about a similar issue with the download links and the error code, but I can’t reopen that, so I’m posting here instead.
I recently tried to use a FileLu public shared link and I get the error message “File does not exist. Error code: 7” after adding added it to Simple Download Counter. The file link is https://filelu.com/hVi9b8AbWGTDPXaQ/door.jpg
I contacted FileLu regarding the issue with their links and the Simple Download Counter plugin. They responded, stating “Please share your short direct link with them and explain that it will redirect to the actual download link. Encourage the author to update the plugin to support HTTP redirects for the download link.” since the link I shared above redirects to another link before the image/file gets downloaded.
Would you be able to look into this and see if you can support HTTP redirects? This may resolve the issue.

I tested it again, it works if I upload a local file but it doesn’t work with the external URL download links. Thanks
