Thank you very much @picaporte! I waited months for Shufflehound to respond to me regarding their theme issues with no response, and it took you solving it all. I appreciate the explanation and the detail you put into your suggestions. Everything you outlined worked as stated, except for disabling general comments in this menu: (wp dashboard>side menu>settings>comments). I don’t have that option for my WP platform. I was, however, able to disable the comments individually in each post as you suggested. Just that I had to go into each post to do it. Ultimately, I decided against removing the comments, but good to know how to remove it should I decide differently again. If anyone else have similar issues with the theme, @picaporte solutions works perfectly.
