Sorry, I don’t remember what was the reason, but I THINK I had to restore my site completely from a backup and then never use Breeze again. Probably not very helpful;)

Actually I had to rewrite my child theme from scratch and now it has started to work again. It must have been my mistake, thank you for your quick response!!
