The information on the Cleantalk website is wrong. The plugin versions up to version 2.1.1 were vulnerable. Version 2.2.0 was the release with the fix. Refer to the CVE-2025-6895 report on the Patchstack website for more details.

Thank your for the detailed report. That was very helpful. We have prepareda a version of the plugin with a fix. We were able to reproduce the issue and also test the patch, however, having someone else confirming this would be very helpful.

We have opened an internal ticket for this so the developers can look into it. I’ll let you know if we need more information.
In the meantime, can you please confirm that you are still able to use the plugin, as long as you do not try to access a site with user roles that do not have the manage_options capability?
