Hmm, my screenshot apparently did not get published. I am drilling down in the Tab widget: to Style and then to the Title section. It is there that one might want to establish that the active tab would see the title become bold, while the inactive tab would stay normal. Or perhaps upon hover, one might want the title to grow in size just a bit.
These are perfectly legitimate design choices…but they are impossible, because Typography is not one of the controls that can be set as part of the Normal/Hover/Active set of conditions. I will try again to drop in a screenshot:
Hi James — I don’t think this has anything to do with my theme and I am not suggesting that the feature is broken. I believe that it is working as designed…but that the design needs to be improved. The typography setting for tab titles sits apart from the settings that change based on the state of the tab (Normal, Hover, Active). Therefore, we cannot direct that type, say, become bold when it is active. It is all one thing or another thing, independent of tab state.
I would like to see that changed. I would like to see Typography join the other settings that can change based on tab state.I would appreciate someone looking into this issue for me.
Replying to this thread so I can subscribe to it. I am eager to see this conflict resolved.
I found a plug-in that addresses this specific issue, so I’m good to go now. Thanks for all the help.
I am very grateful for all the help here, but I could not get it to work. I placed the code at the top of the page but still the image that is shared with FB is the one that I set as my sort-of universal thumbnail (shown at right).
How can I troubleshoot this?
Mission accomplished, but still my ugly mug shows up when I share to FB. Is there a cache I need to clear out, as well?
Thanks, but add it where? That’s what I’m not clear on. Add it to the page that I’m trying to share?
Many thanks for the response. I was able to follow the logic, but am not clear on where this coding is to take place. Someone really need to write a plug-in to address this! Short of that, are there any tutorials to accompany the abstract of the article linked above?
I have successfully set my featured image to be a more appropriate photo, however now that image appears on the page itself, which I do not want. I am only interested in controlling the thumbnail that is prescribed for Facebook to use.
Thank you for the quick response. While I am actively researching Nos. 2 and 3 above, I don’t know how to do No. 1, because WordPress has not informed me that the plugin is in need of an upgrade, and I cannot find any download information at the Shareaholic website. So I will need a push in the right direction.
P.S. It is the same photo that is used on this forum. It has become sort of a universal thumbnail for me, but that’s overboard!

In reply to: [BuddyMobile] BuddyMobile ProThat’s kind of my point: I have no knowledge of the old Pro version. I can’t find any information about it at all.

In reply to: Users registering on my siteI have surveyed several of the possible plugins, but there is still a missing link for me. To quote one the BuddyPress Humanity plugin: “This plugin adds a customizable security question to the sign up form.”
I haven’t yet created a signup form. I have no idea how the splog bots are signing up. I can install this plugin, but I don’t know how to implement it, because a signup form doesn’t yet exist.
Help…?

In reply to: Users registering on my siteThank you, Evan! Combating sploggers at the front door is the way I would like to go here, and I would be grateful to hear from others who have used the various tools discussed in the link above. Is there a consensus favorite? Some better in certain situations than others?
