In reply to: [WP Downgrade | Specific Core Version] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught errorFixed with 1.2.6.
Thanks for reporting! If you leave WP Downgrade active, it should stay on your selected version. Unfortunately I don’t know why this doesn’t work for you.
But what MaryMak says is also correct: The entry in wp-config.php should prevent the automatic update.
define( ‘WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE’, false );- This reply was modified 5 years, 4 months ago by Reisetiger.
Depends. If you have automatic updates active, you need to leave wp-downgrade active. Otherwise the latest release will be installed again automatically.

In reply to: [WP Downgrade | Specific Core Version] Not workingGenerally wp downgrade still works, even with 5.5.3. Unfortunately I don’t know why it doesn’t work for you. It could be interfering with another plugin or the theme, or even a hosting setting. Please also see the FAQ for this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-downgrade/#faq
Otherwise manual downgrade via FTP. I’m sorry.

In reply to: [WP Downgrade | Specific Core Version] Broken LoginThe “white screen of death” may be due to an incompatible plugin. You can disable other plugins by renaming the folders via FTP.
BTW: You should better use 5.0.10. There are some security holes in 5.0.

In reply to: [WP Downgrade | Specific Core Version] Unable to downgrade from 5.5Please have a look at the new FAQ for this:
Wordfence does not understand that the version is going down. You can delete these files if you want, but they can also just stay. Do not worry.

In reply to: [WP Downgrade | Specific Core Version] Not workingStrange. There should be at least a button for “reinstall”.
Have you tried to set a different version number? So not the one you want, but a lower one, for example?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Downgrade | Specific Core Version] Unable to downgrade from 5.5Strange, I couldn’t see this behavior anywhere. There should be at least a button for “reinstall”.

In reply to: [WP Downgrade | Specific Core Version] Multisite Compatibility? It is not really multisite compatible at the moment. I think it will work so far, if you just use the plugin on site #1. The update-messages on the other sites may not be correct, but it should load the desired version for the hole network.
Someday I’ll take a closer look at multisite compatibility, unfortunately I don’t have much time for the plugin at the moment.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Downgrade | Specific Core Version] WordPress downgrade not workingIf no error message appears, everything is ready to perform the up/downgrade. At the top of the update-page you have to click “reinstall”. It will then get the version you want.

In reply to: [WP Downgrade | Specific Core Version] Doesn’t workIt is on the WP-Downgrade settings page. If the URL is not detected, an option appears: “edit download URL”. There you can adjust the URL manually.
If you don’t see the option, try changing the version number. And make sure to use the latest version of the plugin.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Downgrade | Specific Core Version] Doesn’t workUnfortunately, on some installations the URL is not detected correctly. I’m sorry I haven’t fixed it yet.
You just need to manually change it to
https://downloads.wordpress.org/release/wordpress-5.2.3.zip
(without the “en/”).Forum: Reviews
