Thats right Christine I want both areas to consist of posts but I am unable to figure out what changes I need to make to the ‘articles’ section so that it behaves the same as the ‘news’ section. Once someone explains that to me so I can make the necessary changes, I will then need to know how, when I write a post, I can choose between the ‘news’ and the ‘articles’ area for the post to appear on.

Hi Tarsem, I have tried as you suggested but it has not worked. I already have categories for news and articles set up but when I post to category articles, the post appears on the news page.
When I look at the menus page I can see that the ‘news’ item is ‘custom’ and the URL matches the URL of the blog domain. The ‘articles’ item on the menu page is set to ‘page’. That seems to be the difference between them?
