I haven’t said you violated any rules, although “annoying manner” is up for interpretation. I’m not saying either that your plugin should be taken down from the repository. I’m just recommending everyone not to use this plugin and to look for an alternative, for the reasons stated above.
I can’t have my clients sites filled with advertisement. Of course you don’t care about your own ads, like every developer, but if I start allowing that, soon enough I’ll have ten different banners for various plugins. Keep your ads on your plugins own settings page, and it would be fine with me. Otherwise I wouldn’t recommend this plugin to anyone; and as I said before, there are many alternatives.

In reply to: [ACF reCAPTCHA] ACF to Create New Posts with reCaptchaHi guys!
I just update the plugin with the empty lines removed. Thanks @kungfunefar for your help, feel free to send push request on github any time you want.
Sorry I didn’t answer sooner, i don’t have much free time lately.
@inhouse Sorry, I don’t know what the issue is.

In reply to: [Advanced Custom Fields: reCAPTCHA Field] can't submit the formI just submitted a fork with the pending pull requests included. If you or anyone else wants to easily install the working version you can find it here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/acf-recaptcha/
Also, if anyone wants to contribute, you can send your pull requests here, and I’ll keep the plugin alive and updating with the help of the community (the original author is not updating or even accepting pull requests anymore).
That is subjective. The moderators do try though sometimes people resort to calling people names or using profanity.
Great, not my case.
It doesn’t matter that you, who is a third party to, felt the topic should not be marked resolved. It wasn’t your topic to day that one way or the other. Your comment was caught in the spam filter and a) was wrong about the topic and b) 5 months later did not matter at all.
What are you even talking about? No, of course it doesn’t matter what I felt, what matters is that the problem wasn’t resolved. I mean, the problem was not resolved, that’s a fact. I wasn’t wrong, and 5 months later it matters the same, the problem was still there. There has been no update, and the author hasn’t respond. It’s marked as resolved because some random guy (not the plugin author, not the guy who opened to topic) said that it was fixed, which is not true.
As I wrote above, you can start your own topic for this plugin via this link.

As I also indicated, the plugin author providing you support after your rant would be a nice surprise. At no point have I requested any support, stop repeating yourself. The only thing I’ve done is trying to help other users letting them know about this plugin status. My only mistake has been assuming that the author removed my comments and closed the thread, what was actually some mod mistake, as stated before.
What part of “fake review” was up for discussion? It’s not fake at all, though it’s clear you don’t like it.
Some time ago, WP plugin reviews by the same plugin author were not marked as theirs. And so there were a lot of fake reviews trying to deceive users who didn’t check the author name. That’s why wp now marks every review made by the author of that plugin. But still makes no sense to review your own plugin, if not because most people will only see the number of stars. The content of the review was not fake, the review itself was. Happy now?
Well, in that case that’s just wordpress.org forums/plugin directory working awfull and counterintuitive.
I saw a thread marked as “resolved” in the plugin page when the plugin has been broken at least 5 months, so I commented that it was not fixed. It wasn’t rude and it was totally on topic (same unfixed error). And the next day, when I go to the thread to post the solution I found, I saw the comment deleted and the thread closed, without any notification of any kind.
Why would I assume that a third person not related to the plugin decided that the plugin was indeed fixed and decided to remove the comment and close the thread?
I know that plugin authors are not obligated to give support, but the problem is already fixed and he only needs to copy/paste, and this time the plugin is just completely broken, but next time it might be a security threat (this is a security plugin after all), and I think users might be interested in knowing that the plugin is not receiving any kind of support, even with pull requests laying around.
Anyway, I’d have not commented any of that if I would not thought that the author was deleting comments and closing threads. So great work from the mods removing relevant comments for being “spam”.
Also, I’m not saying that reviewing yourself is not allowed, I’m just saying that it’s shitty.
