I have exact the same problem, it’s not working for me, I filled in API and list ID.

The issue is probably caused in combination with the other (category) plugin I’m using.
But you pointed me into the right direction. 🙂
Every time I edited (saved) the homepage it wasn’t loading anymore since it creates a bad formated permalink
Homepage – > Page -> /no-category/homepage
Manuelly deleting that entry in “Permalinks Customizer” solves the issue.
