While we recognize the storage benefits of deleting original images post-conversion, as far we know that WebP is not currently supported by Facebook. Furthermore, potential thumbnail issues on other social platforms like X and Reddit, combined with the irreversible nature of the original image deletion, prevent implementation. Reliability remains our top priority, and we preserve original files to ensure data integrity. We will, in the future, consider the feasibility of your request. We appreciate your understanding.
