I’m on the track to getting this thing fixed. The problem was that in my sidebar codeing I have too many tags that are incorrect. This is causing all kinds of probs.
Using this website showed me exactly which tags were incorrect. It scanned my page and showed them line by line.

I’m having the same prob…. and I just upgraded my footer is also linking to another link in sidebar….weird stuff
I created the database, changed the sql database name in the config.php file, uploaded the backup files, and all is good. Only thing not up to date are changes I made in the last week.
