I guess it is not so difficult to add an IF statement somewhere to test if the plugin is used and get _wds_title value (in wp_postmeta) in place of the post title.

I’d like to suggest you an idea for future release.
You could add an option to create automatic IDs in your table.
This option could be: Generate cells IDs: Yes/NoResults would be something like this
<td id="row2-column2">cell content</td>
<td id="row2-column3">cell content</td>This way we could use the javascript function getElementById
