Hi @andrewsmg
Thanks for reaching out to us about this.
This looks like an interaction between your theme and Business Directory Plugin. Let’s try this and see if it helps. Go to Directory > Settings > General > Advanced then turn on this option: Disable Advanced CPT Integration?:
Save your changes and see if that works. You may need to clear your cache if you don’t see a change right away. Please try that and let me know if you run into more issues!
Best regards,
Hi @cscweb
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I will have to share these with our developer to look into. In the meantime, could you please let me know which version of PHP you are using?
Please let me know!

That’s quite a big jump. Version 5.17.1 was released over 3 years ago. Did you have any custom changes to your website? Do you also have any backups from before the upgrade?
Based on the information you’ve provided, it seems like there might be a conflict between certain elements of the website. To determine the root of the problem, I suggest running a conflict test first. You can refer to this article on how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with Business Directory, which may assist in identifying the issue: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/how-to-check-for-plugin-and-theme-conflicts-with-bd/
I recommend trying this approach first, and please let me know your findings!

Unfortunately, we don’t have an option to disable certain fields from being edited at this time. This does sound like something that would benefit many other users, so I will add it to our feature request list.
If you have any other questions, please let me know!

I am thinking the options for these fields are set to admin users only. To change this, please go to Directory > Directory Content > Form Fields, edit these fields and make sure that the Show this field to admin users only? option is unchecked. https://imgur.com/a/UDEtzne
Please check that and let me know if that helps!

Hey @aeonlove
Awesome!
I’m glad to hear that worked for you. If you ever have any questions or issues, feel free to reach out anytime!

Hi @aeonlove
You can certainly try enabling this option to see if that helps.

Hi @digigreg
Thanks for reaching out.
Our plugin doesn’t add a canonical to your pages. This is likely coming from another plugin. I am seeing the canonical URL on your non-directory pages as well.

Hi @bhupal
Yes, the same issue is in the paid version.
The paid version just includes additional features for your directory.
Currently, the only workaround would be to assign the listings to the parent category as well for the meantime.

Yes, you can use the advanced search widget to search through specific fields. For example, you could create a Restaurant field with a dropdown that shows all the food categories it serves.
You can see more in our documentation about this here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/quick-search-and-advanced-search/#advanced-search-widget

Hi @aeonlove
Thanks for sharing those helpful screenshots.
Everything looks setup correctly in Divi. Do you have the Disable advanced CPT integration option enabled by chance? You can check this by going to Directory > Settings > General > Advanced.
Please check that option and let me know if that helps!

I believe I just answered your email about this. I’ll leave that answer here as well just in case. You can use the following CSS documented here to hide the category list on your directory page: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/directory-categories/#hide-categories-list
Best regards,
Hi @bhupal
Can you please try adding the following CSS to see if that helps?
.category-image {
width: 250px !important;
height: 250px !important;
}Just go to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS and paste that in there.
Please try that and let me know if you still have any issues!

To ensure your images display at the same size, you can set the recommended size for category images under Directory > Settings > Enhanced Categories > Category Images. Here, you can adjust the image sizes to fit your needs.
