As an update – this appears to be an apple issue, as friends and family on non-apple devices have no problem seeing the menu.

I think I may have just answered my own question. Not exactly a static image but if you put the s after the http, so https://thetoleranttable.com an image appears. It won’t appear with just the http:// …. interesting! Open to any other feedback though. Thank you
