When the above error happens I also see issues with the Posterboard, as it displays “false” where the Month and Day would normally be shown.

In reply to: [Airl] Nice as a concept demo, but useless for a real siteThank you, that information really helps and improves the homepage a lot. I will improve my rating. I will make some recommendations below that would further improve my rating. Maybe there are ways to do these already.
1. The first posts shown in “Featured” really should not be random, there should at least be an option to show newest posts first.
2. As news sites want to have the option to feature breaking news and have a specific post shown first and have more prominence than any other post.
3. There should be an option to easily change the text from “Featured” to something like “Breaking news” or “Alien invasion”.
4. Any section titles on the homepage should have an option to add a link so that the title is clickable and leads to the main page for that topic.
5. A dedicated random posts section would be better placed at the bottom of the homepage.
6. The highlights title looks ok from a design perspective, but it uses and takes up a lot of space just for a header title.
I hope this helps. Your theme was the first news template we looked at, and we have since checked out others. I recommend you check out the theme called “News Jack” as it might help you with your improvements.

I’ve just had the same problem after installation on a new WP site.
My solution was to activate it on the main Plugins page instead of the install page. Seems OK now.

I am duplicating an existing site in which this plugin has been working for a while.
Same theme and plugins, this is the only plugin so far that as a problem.

Luckily the website is new so it’s not that big a deal, for us.
