I just updated the plugin and I’m still getting that message. Can you help?

In reply to: [Lodestar] Mobile menu not working in portrait modeCan you tell me what the plugin was?
My problem is that the login option is not visible in portrait mode; only when I turn it round to landscape mode. Any suggestions?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Added bbPress to WordPress 2020 theme and the forum pages are tinyThanks. I wondered if the theme was the issue! I’ll try that and hopefully changing the theme doesn’t mess too much with the layout.

In reply to: Upgraded to WP 3.3.1 and members can't easily access inboxHaven’t a clue about coding – I rely completely on plug-ins!!
Will poke around though and see if I find anything theme related. Thanks for all this help. I really appreciate it.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Upgraded to WP 3.3.1 and members can't easily access inboxThanks. I upgraded to the latest BP and the site looks like it should and members are happy.
It may be due to the plug-ins not being up to date but a problem I have left is that I had it set up so that non members could go to the site and see the “About this site” page; if they clicked on anything else they were directed to the login page. Now they see the ‘Activity’ page where members share their stories etc.
I want this to be the default page for members when they sign in but not the page others have access to. Am I doing something wrong? (Again!)Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Upgraded to WP 3.3.1 and members can't easily access inboxNot yet – nervous about updates. Lost the site for a while last time I upgraded BP. I am not as savvy as I’d like to be and am on a big learning curve as the guy who used to handle our site for us has pulled out. Not even sure what you mean by front end!!
Also I seem to need access to the ‘back-end’ of the site via ftp to access folders and back-ups etc and am a bit lost as to how to access it.
Do you recommend I upgrade to the newest BP?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Upgraded to WP 3.3.1 and members can't easily access inboxWas just using the private messaging function built in to BuddyPress but have installed “Private Messages for WordPress” and am thinking of using that instead.
Have lost a lot of functionality since upgrading to the new WP. I can no longer make the blog private as the BP plug-in for that is now not working properly either. (Afraid to upgrade to the new BP in case I lose even more functionality until the plug-in developers do their own updates).
ThanksForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Since upgrade to WP 3.3.1 anyone can now read postsThanks – that looks good. Actually I want non-registered to be able to see the “About the Site” page only. That’s how it was but now they can see group activity posts/member details etc.
I think the update caused some of the plug-ins that ran these functions to be obsolete.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Since upgrade to WP 3.3.1 anyone can now read postsThanks, I deleted the old plug-ins – still looking for a replacement. It’s a real pain when you upgrade and then lose so much functionality.
My latest problem is that it’s so hard for people to find their inbox for private messaging. It’s disappeared from the bar at the top and people are complaining. This is a grief blog site and I don’t want to make things more difficult for them to communicate. Any suggestions?
