In reply to: [Mute Screamer] won't activateThat’s great advice, thanks!
As for the install problems, the update to 3.8.3 seems to have solved it…

In reply to: [Mantra] "Mantra Settings" no longer worksFound a solution. It seems it was a problem with scripting. See the below link. What caused the problems for those guys in the link was the same problem that was preventing the menus from these themes from working properly, for me at least.
Add the following to wp-config to prevent scripts from being concatenated if concatenation is causing interference this will fix it:
define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false );See the original solution:

In reply to: [Mantra] "Mantra Settings" no longer worksHi, I’m having the same problem as well. I’ve installed the latest version of Mantra and the settings menu will not produce any dropdowns. Consequently I cannot change any of the settings.
Incidentally, I have the same problem with the themes “Parabola” and “Tempera” published also by Cryout.
All three were installed using the theme installer within the dashboard. The settings cannot be changed in any of them.

In reply to: [Centrora WordPress Security™] Cannot installHi, thank you for your prompt reply!
I think I’m getting a sense of why I was, and then wasn’t, able to install OSE. I’m on a shared hosting account, and while my host says my ram is flexible, my memory monitor typically says I’ve only got 128MB total available and it rarely goes above. If you are indicating to allocate 512MB, then what probably is happening is when I was able to install OSE the server was able to allocate enough peak memory to allow the install, while the times the install failed I couldn’t get enough.
That makes sense actually. Unfortunately I can’t control how much memory I’m allocated, so I guess I’ll just have to hope I catch a time when my neighbors sharing my server aren’t needing the ram…
Thank you, all the best
PS-I’m going to mark this as resolved, but if anyone else has any more ideas I’d be happy to hear of them 🙂
