Hello, in any way can the image linking to ‘featured image’ is customizable to some external images, like images from ‘upload’ folder, programmatically, using php code? if yes in which page the linking process is written?

Hello, I’m using a custom post type plugin. Can you guide me the steps to upload images now? I can only see one featured image in the slider. I have used ‘multiple featured images’ plugin to upload multiple images. But could not see any effect though i can see all the images in the pages.
